志みづ｜白川郷かやぶき民宿【公式】

Shimizu Inn is a once in a lifetime experience that you should do if you have the opportunity.
The house is beautiful inside and out. The interior has been well preserved for an authentic feel and retains the classic look of the 200+ year style.
Our room was very comfy and well equipped with a heater and plenty of blankets to make it through any cold night.
Dinner and breakfast were amazing. The traditional meals had plenty of variety and were more than enough.
The owners were very friendly and helpful, making this a really great experience. They were happy to chat to get to know us, talk about the house, village, and anything else.
Overall had a great time here and this is another bright addition to Shirakawa-go.

This is probably the best place to stay if you’re planning to spend the night in the area. Never thought it’s possible to stay in a gassho-style house! They serve traditional Japanese food for dinner and breakfast. The owner lives next door. The lady staff (I forgot her name) speaks really good English so communication was not a problem. It’s definitely a once in a lifetime experience you wouldn’t want to miss.

Indeed a lovely experience staying here amidst of paddy fields & misty morning with crisp air. Enjoyed the Japanese dinner prepared from farm fresh picks. Cheers & best wishes to Shimizu san & family!

The place is truly a bliss and if you are looking for a place to stay overnight.then it can't be better than Shimizu Inn. The host Shimizu San is extremely welcoming and her historic 200 years old traditional home is a place that can't be described in words! You have to simply experience the place, freshly plucked vegies for your dinner and breakfast.paddy field all around.river flowing at walking distance. She and her family specially her daughter are a perfect host! 5 star is not enough.

不枉從沖繩連人帶車坐船
騎了超過 1,500km 以上才到這裡
雖是老木造建物但整理得很乾淨
衛浴設備都是タカラスタンダード
可能因為無語言障礙反而沒有聊太多
附晚早餐對機車旅遊者而言太實惠
車子還可以直接停在屋旁空地處
雪季有機會時再開車過去玩一趟
趁著現在都沒有觀光客時最好啦~

Enjoy our honeymoon at Shimizu six years ago; there are a lots of great memories here.
Host is very kind, they took us from minsuku to hot spring & bus stop with their lovely car; and we really love the dinner & breakfast.
By the way, we become close friend with our roommate from Singapore.
Look forward to visiting Shiragawago & Shimize soon.

志みずさんにお世話になったのは3月の初旬。
折しも世間を賑わす流行り病の少し前の事でした。
平日であったせいもあり、当日の利用は自分等だけ。
静かな時間と暖かな日差しのせいか初めてお邪魔した割に、何故か実家に帰った様な何処か懐かしい感情が溢れます。

広間に大の字になるうちついウトウト・・・しばらく眠った様でした。

宿の方に声を掛けられ、程なく夕餉。
お膳は山の物と野菜を中心とした田舎料理で田舎生まれの自分にとっても珍しい物ばかり。中でも唯一お勧めは飛騨牛（好みで塩胡椒で焼いて頂きました）。
小鉢一つ取ってもあれやこれやの質問攻めの面倒くさいお客だったと思います（ゴメンナサイ）。でも、宿の方は嫌な顔一つせず細かい所まで詳しく話してくださる丁寧さ。
勉強になりましたありがとうございます。

お酒の持ち込みが可能です。
宿のビールで勢い付いてからは土産物屋で求めた地酒を舐めながら小鉢をつつく・・ホント呑ん兵冥利に尽きます。
失態は・・・多分、無かったかな？
取り敢えずから瓶は持ち帰ったので、まぁヨシと致しましょう。

普段の客層が国内旅行の方よりも外人さんがメインとか。
そんなせいか、お風呂も珍しく浴槽の無いシャワーブースだけ。
自分はそれで充分ですが、旅といえば食と温泉。
近くの日帰り湯に割引券を貰って行ってみるのも良いかも知れません。
こちらは天然温泉でありながら湯量が中々厳しいらしく掛け流しまでは至らぬ様子。10キロ超足を伸ばせば村に以前からある掛け流しの温泉にも行けるという話でした

静寂の夜。
水路の水の音だけの満天の星。
季節がもう少し温かな頃なら、窓を開け放ち虫の音に思いを馳せるのも良いかも知れません。

翌朝は、少し早目に集落を歩いてみました。
展望台まで登ってみると旅行雑誌に紹介されるあの白川郷のひなびた景色が広がります。
景色の独り占めって中々経験できるもんじゃ無いですよ。いやホント。

今回の旅は白川郷をゆっくりと楽しめて良かったですが、コロナ禍が終息に向かい、外国人客が再び押し寄せる前にもう一度訪れてみたいと思います。

追記
白川郷は、9時〜16時は集落内は観光車両の通行制限があります。

Honestly the best food ever we had a lot of kaiseki meals in Japan and this was the best. They're very nice people and the farm house was incredible

I would give this even more stars. This is the best stay on our Japan trip. You'll stay in a very authentic traditional country house with an actual fireplace in the center of the dining room. The staff is very friendly yet very shy and doesn't bother you much. The house is pristine and very clean with modern bathroom and toilets. The view in the morning is mind blowing.

The Shimizu Inn is charming, clean and comfortable. The family that run the in are very welcoming and the food is excellent. The walk from the station is really easy and if the weather is bad they will help with luggage. Highly recommend.

Very nice barn house, with a really nice host. The dinner and breakfast were cooked with our dietary restrictions in mind. Shower and toilets were super clean too. She also gave us advice on what to do in Shirakawa-go. I would definitely recommend it.
