Five stars for excellent service. We arrived to the restaurant 20 minutes before it was open (unknowingly) and were welcomed indoors with a smile and our order taken promptly. The owner was friendly throughout the evening - even when we’d arrived at a a busy time as he was setting up for the night. Cannot fault the hospitality.

Kato san the owner and the cook is a very kind person he speaks some English and some Mexican! The food is so tasty and a bit hot (Mexican) its a cozy place and a great one if you want to spend a nice time in Takayama. Its not traditional Japanese food but its worth a try! Price are fair. Excellent food that tastes like the real deal - and wonderful service!

Great guacamole and camorones al ajillo, with a very friendly host. Really enjoyed the meal!
