お休み処 柊(ひいらぎ)

This place was the best part of going to Shirakawa-go. It's a short walk up the hill from the bus station, and the food was fantastic. I had the beef skewers and soba with rice. Very flavorful, filling, and reasonably priced. The lady running the place was nice and accommodating, even though our Japanese is limited to "hello" and "thank you. "

Cozy family-style restaurant with great set meals, especially enjoyed the Hida Beef and handmade soba. Reserve in advance to avoid disappointment!

OISHII…. Delicious! A must go if you are in Shirakawa. We were lucky enough to make reservation and eat in this restaurant (reservation by IG) the service was impeccable, friendly yet professional. The food was amazing! We had the Hida beef skewer plate, the meat was grilled perfectly. A plus, the owner is a car lover and has pictures of cars that come to visit this restaurant.

今回は白川郷に行く前にお昼ご飯に寄りました！

川魚が好きで来たのですが
川魚、飛騨牛、蕎麦とセットになっていた物を頂きました！！超絶美味しく最高でした！

家族で仲良く経営されていてとても雰囲気も良く
素敵なお店でした！！

他のメニューもセットになっていてよく考えられたメニューばかりです

Affordable and cosy place for a meal after visiting Shirakawago. I had the Hida sukiyaki set and beef skewers which was delicious and filling. Expect to wait 15 to 20mins for your meals to be served. They only serve alcohols and ocha.

Be aware tourist don't waste your time walk up to this restaurant as they only take " reservations " = "local only"

Best place to eat in this village. Master pieces by the seniors who operate the restaurant. One of the best place to eat in Japan.

お店は田舎の民家的、お座敷でいただきましたがテーブルの高さが引くて少しだけ辛いです

お値打ち価格で飛騨牛いただきました イワナの塩焼きが思ってたよりも大きくて美味しかった (, •﹏•,)
赤味噌育ちの自分には朴葉味噌焼きはちょうど良い辛さでした

車好きな息子が数回お邪魔させて頂いておりおすすめの店との事で家族で来店させて頂きました　お婆ちゃんの家に帰って来たような感じがして料理を待つ間に中や外をうろうろしてしまいました　料理も量、味共に申し分無しでした　近々ミーティングがあると聞いています　また息子がお世話になります

また白川郷に観光行ったら必ず行く店に決定しました。
なんなら食事しに行くだけでも行く価値があるお店になりました。

They sell very tasty traditional Japanese dishes. The restaurant is located right next to the river. It is not far from the station.
