オリックスレンタカー 新横浜駅前店

軽自動車をお借りしました。新横浜駅から近くてとても便利です。
乗車前の外装周りのキズ確認がないので理由を尋ねると、「洗車時に確認済みです」との事。
車は古くてキズが多かったので不安に感じました。借りる人が立ち会わないキズ確認は初めてでした。

予約時間に行ったら誰もいなかった。
15分程して３人スタッフがきたが、慌てる様子もなく、書類の準備も遅い。

店員さんの対応良かった。車もそこそこきれいでした。

I rented a car in Yokohama and returned the car in Narita. They gave me an old car, no back up camera, out of date GPS. When returning the car, the guy told me there is a dent on the pumper (about 2cm), and the pumper came out (which is 0.5 cm gap). When i received the car, the other agent said minor scratch or dent could be ignored, and i believe i ignored those because i never had any problems like those before.
He claimed that i got into an accident, which i never did. He wanted me to pay 20,000 yen. I spent almost and hour to argue with him that it cannot be the proofs for an accident. How can a small dent like that could make the pumper popped out? I had to call the insurance and told them it was a small dent and a tiny gap, which i believe from previous accident because there were many scratches on the tire rims, but the staff kept saying it was a big dent and the pumper almost came out.

After an hour arguing, i had to give up because i didn't want to miss my flight. I believe the staff knew that too. I've been using Orix for a long time, and this has stopped me from using their service.

If you are a tourist, stay away from Orix, spend a few extra bucks and Times will offer much newer and better car.

Rented a Daihatsu Tanto (kei car) from Shin-Ykohama to NRT as Orix had the lowest one-way rental surcharge, and kei car tolls are cheaper than full size car tolls. The car was made ready as they were doing paperwork and the radio was even tuned to the English only Camp Zama radio station. I thought that was a very nice attention to detail.
