れは私たちの2回目の訪問であり、季節の変わり目に行いました。そうじゃなくても同じくらい美しかった
9月よりも多くなりました。部屋は素晴らしく、スタッフはとても親切で、食事は素晴らしいです。子供と一緒に行くのは、一人で来た時ほど素晴らしいことではないと言わざるを得ませんが、それでも素晴らしい経験でした。私たちは間違いなく何年も戻ってきます。

晴らしく美しいホテルで、素晴らしい温泉があります。サービスは素晴らしく、食べ物は信じられないほど美味しかったです！みんなとても楽しい時間を過ごしました。伝統的な日本旅館をお探しなら、強くお勧めします。

の茶屋で素晴らしい一泊を過ごすことができました。私たちはお金を節約するために専用の温泉/風呂のないさくら（スタンダード）ルームに宿泊しました。温泉大浴場を利用していたのは私たちだけだったので、特に問題はありませんでした。リゾート全体が私たちのプライベートバスのようでした！

お部屋は清潔感があり、外の緑の景色がとても綺麗でした。畳と日本の伝統的な寝具は快適でした。リゾートの敷地自体はとても居心地が良く、美しい木製パネルが施されています。

サービスは驚異的でした。私たちのアテンダントのハルは、私たちが快適で、必要なものが揃っていることを確認するために、これまで以上に努力してくれました。

私たちは美しく盛り付けられた食事サービスをとても楽しみました。お腹を空かせて来てください！懐石料理はかなりの量の料理で、翌朝の朝食が終わるまでにとても満腹になりました。私たちは自分たちをかなり冒険好きで、日本料理に精通していると思っていますが、地元の珍味は（良い意味で）私たちの味覚を広げてくれました。好き嫌いが多いゲストや、普段の好みから外れることに抵抗があるゲストは苦労するかもしれません。

非常に静かな場所にあり、主要鉄道駅へ直接アクセスできるバス停に近いです。バスは少し不安定なので、移動には十分な余裕を持って計画してください。

準備ができていなかったものの 1 つは、バグでした。私たちは本当に山の中にいたのですが、ここにはクレイジーで大きな虫がいて、露天風呂で何をしているのか非常に興味を持っています。

We were taken away by the hospitality provided to us at Yama no Chaya. This was our first ryokan experience and although pricey, it was well worth it. From check in, our bags were taken and we were provided tea and planned our meals and ride service. It was easy for us and our host Sapkota was so nice and patient. Many of the workers speak English so it shouldn’t be hard if you don’t know Japanese. The onsen in our room was amazing and they can even change the temperature from the front desk upon request. The private onsen was also really nice, you’re basically experiencing a great spa day. If you’re lucky there will also be some Sakura visible from the onsens. The food was very good especially for us who are not used to traditional kaiseki. There were only one or two dishes that didn’t suit our palate completely. I believe you can tell them any preferences or allergies beforehand too. One minor complaint is the walls are a little thin so you might hear neighboring rooms but by 11pm it was pretty quiet as breakfast is served at 8am.
Sapkota explained all our dishes and how to eat them and took very good care of us. Would recommend to people wanting to experience clean luxury ryokan.

Wonderful stay at this luxury Ryokan in Hakone. 4 Exquisite tattoo friendly onsen - 3 outdoor and 1 indoor. A never ending kaiseki feast for dinner and waited on by Rebecca who was our room attendant who not only had a wonderful sense of humour but is mastering English at an incredible speed. Will absolutely be back. Arigato gozaimashita!

We had an excellent time. The facilities were beautiful, we got to try out all the onsen, and our own personal room one was quite nice also.

The soap, shampoo, and conditioner, were all very luxe. The food was fresh and tasty. Rebecca was assigned to us and she was fantastic in ensuring we felt comfortable and looked after.

This place is tattoo friendly, in that it does not matter if you have them and even if they are large, they don't need to be covered - even in the public ones.

Would definitely stay again. A wonderful experience.

Service was exceptional. A true Japan ryokan experience. However, for the price, I think there are better places. The food was beautifully presented with exceptional service but was just not that tasty. Many dishes felt over or under-cooked. We booked two rooms with their own hot spring tubs and one (Special Room C, "Kikyo") was fantastic, with a tub on the patio, surrounded by bamboo, with a western bed, while the other one (Special Room B, "Yama no Ashita") was a larger room but had a smaller tub in a dark room off of the bathroom and no western bed. The public baths are quite nice and worth checking out. Lastly, the location on the highway sort of takes away from the feeling of being in nature. It's hard to feel relaxed when you hear cars zooming by all the time. All of the rooms (I believe) face the highway because that is also where the hot spring is. It was probably great before the area became so crowded!

Lovely traditional ryokan in the heart of Hakone. We stayed for a night at the Yama no Ashita room and enjoyed the private bath and luxurious meals. Chiso, our attendant, took great care of us and made sure we enjoyed our stay.

Very poor experience at this ryokan and do not recommend that you stay here.
Facilities were not fully accessible. The most beautiful onsen was not available when we stayed which is disappointing and should have been communicated prior to the stay. This was one of the main reasons I booked the hotel.

Another reason why I booked this ryokan was because of the option to book a private onsen during your stay. I arrived at 3: 15pm, 15 minutes after the possible check-in time and they told me it was fully booked during my stay and not possible to use. Completely ridiculous. Each guest should be given the opportunity to reserve that space at check-if they wish.

The dinner was a disappointment. I ordered wagyu beef and it was almost completely all fat.

The icing on the cake was the 10am checkout time with the bill brought to the room at 9: 30am so that you can be out right at 10.

A disappointing stay from start to finish, especially at this price point. I encourage you to seek other accommodation.

Without a doubt a 5 star experience. It's been a while since I've personally had such an awesome experience. Very attentive service which isn't overbearing at all, you feel very welcomed and comfortable. The food is great, a mix of seafood and meat dishes. We stayed in a 2-person room which had a private bath. Overall a fantastic experience. A must if you are considering Hakone and have some money to splash ;)

I hardly wrote reviews but this place is very disappointing and wouldn't recommend to other people.

The resort is closer to the station, however all taxi won't take us, no matter it is the small taxi or the standard crown. I guess it is probably short distance and they won't be able to make much money on it. We asked the hotel if they offered the shuttle bus and they told us no they don't, so we have to take the crowded bus and dragged the luggage through the uphill.

When arrived at the hotel, the welcome guy was nice however the male manager at the lobby was a bit rude, not even water/tea or snack was offered. We have been to many onsen resort and we were expecting this place should at least offer the similar level of service but it wasn't.

The dinner was another story, the lady was very professional but the food was so-so. I also had food poison with this dinner. My wife and I had the same food all the time in Japan, except this dinner she didn't like the dishes so she only had a little while I had most of the plates so I am pretty sure this dinner caused the food poison

When we left the hotel on the second day, we do notice they did take the other guests to the station with their own car (silver Mercdes E class wagon) while we had to take the taxi on our own. I guess we were not paying enough to get the premium service.

Overall I wouldn't recommend this place and I truly don't understand why so many people give this place high rating. Maybe the average service is low for Hakone area, or the pandemic has brought down the service quality.

Stayed for one night, and we got to experience all but one of the onsens. Everything was very clean and neat, and the service was top notch. All of the different onsens has various good quality hair and body products at your disposal. Best onsen in my opinion is the outdoor one at the very top floor. At night you can see the stars while you take a dip.

The food was on another level, cooked with fresh ingredients, and made with such high attention level of detail. Overall, we all had the most amazing time, 10/10 would come again and will be recommending this to everyone I know!

We spent 3 nights at Yama no Chaya. It's a good number of days to do a few activities in the area while getting enough time to slow down and relax.

Location: around 15 minutes walk from Hakone-Yumoto train station and even closer to Tonosawa station (which is handy for certain attractions in the region). You'll have to cross a bridge to get to Yama no Chaya, after which you have a pretty steep road to walk up.

Spaces: it's all very pretty and clean from the entrance to the bar area as well as all baths and rooms we stayed in. However: some parts needed a renovation and we had a room on a side where the hotel is expanding, therefore it wasn't too quiet. Also please note that the standard room does not have a shower so if you opt for this room type you'll need to shower at one of the baths.

Baths: all beautifully set up and highly relaxing. Water temperature was perfect. There were 4 baths: 1 private with time slots you have to book in advance, while the other 3 were public and split between men and women, with allocated time slots so everyone can try all the baths.

Food: delicious and all Japanese-based (except sometimes for breakfast). All the 3 dinners were different from each other and offering different special local dishes, be it veggies, tofu, fish or meat. It was always abundant so you won't be going to bed with an empty stomach for sure. Note: before dinner they usually bring you tea with snacks, while before going to sleep you also get some night snacks.

Staff: all very helpful. We had the pleasure of being assisted by Rebecca, who was super sweet and gave her best to make our stay perfect.

Yama No Chaya was our first ever ryokan stay and I think we chose right. We only stayed one-night, but we were astonished by the beautiful location, friendly hospitality, gorgeous facilities, and delicious food. We were able to try two of the onsens while there and both were beautiful and in excellent condition. While I think they were at capacity, none of the onsens or other public areas ever felt crowded — we maybe only encountered one or two other people the whole time. It's an easy trip up from Hakone-Yumoto station. There's a 100 yen shuttle that stops outside the station or alternatively you can take the bus up to Tonosawa. The walk across the bridge to get there is quite lovely and if you want to go up to Owakadani, it's very easy to catch the bus right across the same bridge. I have to add that, unfortunately, I was suffering from a stomach virus the night we were there and felt terrible and embarrassed that I couldn't enjoy the full kaiseki dinner. Our attendant, Rebecca, was so understanding and sweet about it and did everything she could to make me comfortable. My husband said the food was absolutely excellent, and I was able to enjoy the breakfast the next morning, which was delicious.

結婚記念日で4年ぶりに利用させて頂きました。
外国人向けにシフトチェンジしたようで、スタッフの方は9割方海外の方に変わっていました。
接客は丁寧ですが、以前のように予約完了メールの気遣いのある返信や、御礼の御手紙が廃止されてしまったのがとても残念に思いました。
お料理は和食の繊細さが際立っておりこの上なく美味しかったです。

This is my second visit in this Ryokan within 8 years. And it has been again a great pleasure.
I am used to Ryokan and I always book through the Ryokan Luxury Collection web site.
This time I have used 3 of the outside baths, including one that you can privatize.
The person in charge of my room was Khong and her service was really perfect. She was explaining everything in a perfect english. Better than mine.
She has supported the quality of my experience in a very good way. Thank you.

The food also was really good. The traditional kaizaki diner with premium ingredients and perfect cooking. Breakfast also was really good.
