田むら銀かつ亭 本店

Are you vegetarian? While they do have tofu katsu options, they come with minced pork sandwiched between two slices of tofu. While it is tasty, it is certainly not a vegetarian meal (You can order cold tofu as a side dish, though).

The place is clean, beautiful, and the staff is really sweet. If you order a full set, you’re going to get a lot of food for about 2,000 yen.

Do come prepared to wait a bit, though!

熱々の豆腐カツ煮定食。
お豆腐でお腹いっぱいになるかと思ったら、豆腐の真ん中にお肉が挟んであって、とても美味しかった！並ぶ理由に納得。ご飯を半分の量にしてもらっても、お腹いっぱいになりました！

豆腐料理で有名なお店。
豆腐カツ煮と言うあまり他では食べることのないメニューだがとても美味いのでぜひ食べてほしい。
土日は長蛇の列ができるが整理券が発行され、ネット上で何番まで呼ばれたか確認できる。
開店で並ばない限り一時間以上待つのは普通なので、整理券とって周辺観光するのもいいと思う。
ちなみに新館と旧館があり、整理券とって並ぶのは新館の方。旧館は普通に並ぶ形式だったと思います。

For being a meat-lover myself, I didn't expect to have enjoyed their tofu-katsu this much. It was worth the 50 minute wait and it turned out to be one of the most memorable restaurants I have been to in Japan.

I don't like to hype up restaurants as it may lower one's experience, but I personally think this place will be on par with the hype if not better. Go for their tofu-katsu set and you will not be disappointed.

友人と前々から気になっていた強羅の田むら銀かつ亭に行き豆腐かつ煮御膳を注文しました。かつ煮だから肉が使われていると思い込んでいました。ところが豆腐をかつ煮した単なる豆腐料理でした。1時間45分並びました。豆腐が大好きな是非お薦めです。

銀カツ御膳を頂きました。とてもボリュームたっぷりで、美味しかったです。お店も静かで、小さなお子様連れの方達は、お座敷もありますので、大丈夫ですよ! ランチは11時からですが、早目にいらっしやるといいですよ。11時17分で37番目でした。1時間待ちました。

不味くはないけど、並んで食べるほど美味ではないと思う…。
同じ強羅駅近くにあった『とんかつ里久』の方が数倍美味いと思います。
…が、昨年、店主の急逝により、残念ながら閉店されてしまいました。
本当に残念です。
店主のご冥福を心よりお祈りいたします。

두부까쓰 진짜 최고ㅠㅠ We had to wait for 30 minutes and could have a table before break time! So lucky to try Tofu katsu. Definately the best menu i tried on Japan trip ever.

Nice dining place in Hakone. We had to wait 40 minutes for a table. Their tofu/porkkatsu was delicious.
