Base Taxi

Great, I use them every time I’m stationed here. As someone who doesn’t have a car, they are a lifesaver. Great drivers and they do what they are there to do.

Drivers are very courteous and polite. Take cab whenever I have to attend event or am strapped for time. Has worked very well for me so far.

You can actually get at taxi using the uber app or just call the number. Honestly it's cheaper calling but if you are in a pinch the urber app will work. The taxi service is great, on base at least the wait times are not bad at all. I got one once like 3 minutes after calling. Highly recommend them.

Awful. Why can't I go from on base to off base, or vise versa. Literally the worst base taxi I have used in over a decade.

Call 5-10 mins out and they don't let you down. Used a half a dozen times and every time they are on point.

Operator needs to stop sleeping in early morning times, it's supposed to be 24 hours availability, my man shouldn't be asleep on the job just because not a lot of people will call at 4am.

Kind of fast service but quite expensive considering the distance. I use it only because I'm injured.

They typically answer rather quickly, they give you the number of your taxi that is clearly written on the side, and they're sitting exactly where you requested your pickup. They have polite drivers and always drop you off in a safe place. Not too expensive, safe drivers, and get you to where you need to be. Steer clear of rush hour!

They never answer the phone in the morning so if you are trying to get to work by taxis on base they are not reliable at any means!

I appreciate having the service on base, however watch your change. Drivers often give me nickels instead of 100 yen coins for change.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR MALE DISPATCHER (APR 26,2021;1655) ? I requested for an off base taxi from Chilly's going to Shiori station and I understand it's traffic around that time but the way that your dispatcher was talking, "it's gonna be a 45min wait" and YES I WAS WILLING TO WAIT (said it nicely) suddenly upon hearing my answer, he said it's gonna be more than 1hr wait (is he trying to scare customers and have us not choose to take a taxi? Might as well close the business then) and to make it worse he didn't even give a specific taxi number and just said he will send a black van as soon as they can. How can I be sure that a black van is coming my way when there is even no number assigned to my request? !

Almost always on hold for several minutes before the dispatcher picks up - seems undermanned. Have often waited over twenty minutes for a pick up at the normal spots.

Dispatcher takes 5-10 minutes to answer the phone. This can take much longer if the carrier is in-port. Longest time I've ever been on hold was over 30 minutes - not including the time it took for the cab to drive to me. I've had mixed experiences with the drivers. Some are polite and on-time, others can be rude, dismissive, and late. Prices are fixed, though be aware you still might get scammed for an extra dollar or two. I don't know what the problem with this business is - maybe they're complacent with their poor service because they're the only cab service on base. I really only recommend them if you don't know where you're going or if you're having to travel all the way across the base in inclement weather because most times you're probably better of walking. I hope to see this service improve in the future.

Worst costumer service that ever existed. I feel as is my dead great grandpa would pick up the phone before them.
