7Standard American bar in Japan, but catered more to the younger crowd (early 20s). Bartenders are cool, but place can get crowded quickly, and music is too loud (club loud) and you have to yell at the bartenders to so they can hear you.
I am a female, an ex-pat living in Japan.
I went to this bar on Friday for first time and I was talking to a military man, and then a Japanese male, very drunk he come in the middle. I ask him don't be too close even though he keeps talking and bothering me. I look at stuff but they were talking to each other, they didn't notice how drunk he was and how I was feeling uncomfortable.
After while, suddenly the Japanese male who was still in the middle grabbed my wrist very hard, I told him “you are hurting me, stop”. And then I look at stuff and finally one of them comes to ask what happen and I say that man grabbed my wrist hurt me. The staff call his attention and told him that not okay and lets him stay in the Bar.
I could not believe, that guy who hurt my wrist wasn’t out of the bar.
I mean, he is very drunk and dangerous to be around of people.
So I have to leave for my safety. And I have to leave checking my back.
And the American guy he says” oh I feel sorry for his friend”, I was in shock again, I guess no one cares how it was not okay for somebody touch my body without consent and hurt my wrist.
Ladies, don’t go to this bar by yourself. Make sure you have a male friend, cuz when something happens nobody would protect you.the best would be stuff apologize, and nobody would not mind cuz the men was drunk, he didn’t to intentionally so apologize would be enough.
Unfortunately, when I am upset I do not do my best, I should call the police.
I didn’t, and I regret that.
The female bartenders there are really nice to everyone, always laughing and chit chatting with customers which makes it a good place to chill.
楽しい場所でした。入るのに抵抗がありましたが、実は、ドリンクのたびにお金を払う明朗会計で、スタッフも明るく楽しく親切です。
