We were a group 8 so the food was very slow to come but it was very delicious and the staff really nice, I wish they had someone else helping the chef make the rools a little faster.

Having a taste of Americanized sushi really hit the spot. Small locale but great service and good atmosphere with excellent sushi choices. Kid friendly as well!

Everything was amazing, especially the food. Theres only one chef though, so you're rolls will be fresh, but they make take some time if there's a large order.

This place used to be nice, I came here twice already and either they are close or don’t have more sushi, a sushi place that doesn’t have sushi? We called and asked what time is the last order they said 9pm we got here 8: 30 and they didn’t have sushi… really bad service

A different take on sushi as it's Japanese, but also with American twists added. The food was very good.

Pretty average sushi place in the capital of sushi. It's very American style, which isn't bad, but it's just not amazing. Great for a quick lunch or if your wife doesn't like fish.

Can't say I'd recommend it but it's not a terrible place to eat. Just don't think it's authentic or high quality in any way.

If you're looking for sushi that the USA restaurants make back home, this is the place. I like the large selection of rolls that they have available

This is American style sushi. If you like the fried, smothered rolls, come here. They also have some other great options as well. I ordered the assorted sashimi bowl.

Sushi 51 had some amazing sushi! The volcano roll was like an explosion of yumminess that just can't be put into words. My favorite roll of the night! They have a stamp card where you can earn money off after so many stamps too!

American style sushi restaurant with some clever designs. Very foreigner friendly and employees all speak decent English. The price point will really depend on an individual's choice. Prices for some of the more intricate rolls scale pretty sharply. It's possible to pay 700¥ for one roll and then double that for another. Sushi51 is the only one of its kind in the area, at least from what I've seen. The miso soup was delicious.

This sushi is so so so good! Also recommend the octopus balls! We would have eaten more if we could have but we ordered so much. The restaurant itself was really cozy and played some chill reggae music. Plenty of parking behind the building by Japanese standards and also validation available if you can’t snag one of the few dedicated sushi 51 spots. As much as we love the simplicity of sashimi here in japan, we definitely missed the excessive American style sushi and this captures it perfectly! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Their roll, miso soup, and garlic edamame met my expectations- seriously, I missed American sushi, especially rolls: D

I remember that American style sushi made me upset at first when I was in the States, but overall, I love creativities and unique idea! Also it's great that sushi was exported and locals enjoy sushi: D
Now, Japanese locals enjoy imported sushi and it's a great opportunity to have cultural-diffusional experience: D

If you haven't tried this restaurant you must try it. I really enjoyed the food and the staff. SUSHI 51 will be my go to place for sushi

This is a great place if you like the more American type rolls. Semi small inside the restaurant, 3 tables and bar seating for around 20 or so ppl. The food is always on point & delicious, there is also kid friendly food as well. Highballs and beer are also available amongst a few other drinks. Definitely a great place to fall in love with!

I’m pretty sure Sam (the owner) makes a significant portion of his mortgage off of our patronage. We hope we contribute that much anyway.
EVERYTHING we’ve had here (which is probably 85% of the menu) is top-notch. We particularly love the volcano roll, crispy salmon skin, garlic edamame, spicy California roll, and the banana beignets.

My family and I love the sushi here. Everything was fresh and delicious. Best sushi in the area in my opinion.

Nothing short of amazing! A must try if you are in the area! Super friendly and accommodating, I'll be back often as will my coworkers!
