Lovely staff! They even remembered me from when I last stayed here about 4.5 years ago! Nicest staff I have ever met. The hostel is very clean, quiet, and in a lovely, quiet area of Kyoto. Not too hard to venture out, however, due to its proximity to the train stations. But when in Kyoto, it's best to bike, and the hostel provides bike rentals. Would definitely stay again!

関西に立ち寄った帰りに京都で一泊するため訪問しました。最初宿泊日を間違えて予約しておりましたが、ご厚意で追加費用なしで宿泊日を変更してもらえました。受付の人もフレンドリーでサービスは満点だと思います。部屋はシングルタイプで私が泊まった時には大体3,800円/1泊程度でした。ワンルームタイプの部屋にベッド、机、エアコン、ハンガーがあるのみですが寝ることに専念できてよかったです。全部で10部屋あり共同トイレは二か所6室。シャワーは2か所4室、お風呂は自分で沸かさないといけませんが足を伸ばせるくらい大きいです。談話室で簡単な調理が出来て、炊飯器・電子レンジ・オーブントースター冷蔵庫があります。洗濯機は200円で使え、乾燥機は100円で利用できます。京都五条の立地で、これほどサービスに優れた宿泊場所は中々ないのではないでしょうか。是非ともまた訪れたいと思えました。

Lovely staff with all the facilities you will need on your stay. Bicycles for rent is a great option for travelling Kyoto. Spacious rooms to rest in.

Beautiful, cozy guesthouse in a central, but quiet area. Really nice staff, and a room is very affordable as well. Close to the main train station, and very close to a metro station.

One of the nicest hostels/guest house we've ever been too. The staff go above and being the call of duty. So clean! Would highly recommend for exploring Kyoto.

The staff here are super friendly and it is a clean well run place. For the price it can't be beat!

They were very friendly and it was a nice place to stay. Towels can be rented for 150 yen. There is a lot of helpful maps and advice they give on what to do if you aren't sure.

Staff was very friendly. Always tried to create conversation regardless of your native language.

The accommodations were very clean and modern looking. Bathrooms were a bit cold at night but that's because they don't have heat in the common areas of the guest house (they DO have heat in the rooms though). Besides from the cold, very clean and sanitary.

We slept in a four bed dorm and the beds were a bit stiff for my personal taste. Each bed had its own outlet and small book light.

All in all, I would recommend this guest house to anyone who wants to travel to Kyoto. It is right off the subway station and had a convience store 2 mins away. The employees were friendly and very social.

Best hostel in Kyoto. Super friendly staff and place is very clean. My cousin and I got a free upgrade to a larger dorm.

Number One place to stay in Kyoto! Fabulous staff; beautiful fresh, clean rooms; facilities excellent. All this affordable. Easy access, Kyoto Station one stop away on Karasuma subway; Kawaramachi shopping easy walking distance. And Jiyujin has shopping bikes for rent, one can go anywhere. Wonderful accommodation!

Host of the place is extremely friendly and warm hearted in making guests feel at home in Kyoto. Place is clean and nice. Location is near to subway and busstops to and fro major attractions.

Really nice staff, gave us as much help and direction for Kyoto as possible, clean facilities and good position in the city.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The staff even clean the accommodation themselves so it is not outsourced. I stayed in a dorm, which was lacking space but on my second night there was just two of us so it was easy to navigate. The guest house is about 10 mins walk from the main station which is fair and not too far from the sights. There are lots of convenience stores nearby.

Very friendly staff, fridge, common room. Shoes go in first floor locker, only two showers in the 10 room building, no problems though.

各ドミトリー部屋の施錠管理など、建物の造りからしても現代的なゲストハウス。シャワールーム、浴室も広く使いやすい。部屋自体は2段ベッドがふたつ入りで少し狭かった。全体としてビジネスライクな雰囲気。しかし1階のフロントスタッフは明るい方達でした。
