依水園・寧楽美術館

切な季節に来れば、忘れられない体験ができるでしょう！私たちは10/22にここに来ました。草木の色も変わってきました。物件全体自体が芸術作品です。だからここは美術館と呼ばれるのです！

An incredible traditional Japanese garden. There was a kind guide that showed us the park speaking very understandable English so we could learn a lot of details about the place! It was a very nice experience!

Small museum showing a curation of earth wares, pottery and porcelain. Exhibit is well marked and explained in both Japanese and English.

Ticket cannot be purchased separately. 1200 package ticket with the garden next door.

依水園は若草山と大仏殿を借景にしたダイナミックな日本庭園で他にない迫力。奈良の名所として、もっと広く知られていいと思う。天平寺院の礎石がさりげなく庭石としてあしらわれているのも、奈良らしくて良い。この庭園を見ながらお茶室で喫茶することもできる。

チケットは併設の寧楽美術館と共通になっている。古代中国の文物や水墨画文人画など漢文化に関心のある人には間違いなく勉強になる。期間限定で公開される川合玉堂の作品にも注目。

たとえそのあたりのジャンルに興味がなくても、庭園だけでも一見の価値あり。

お雛様を見に行きました。
数は少ないですが、とても素敵な雛人形でした。
入場料は大人1200円ですが、JAFカードを見せたら200円引きしてくれました。
お庭も素敵でしたが、まだ寒いので花は咲いてませんでした。

子どもと一緒に、訪れたのですが、池から流れる、小川を飛び石を踏んで、渡ったり、小さな山 (丘) を、階段で登ったりと、小さな子どもの冒険心を駆り立ててくれる以外な、ポテンシャル (笑) は、勿論の事。園芸職員の方々の説明も、物腰が柔らかく、家に戻ってからの、ポイントを、抑えた、とても、わかりやすいアドバイスなんかも、いただけたりします。
今回の寧楽美術館の展示は、印鑑に関する物でしたが、どうやって、印字を彫るのか、ベースの作成にあたって、どのような工程があるのかが、図解 (写真) を、使って、興味深く展示されてました。四季を通じて、何度でも、楽しめる、日本庭園であります。

Beautiful gardens! Peaceful and quiet without crowds. While a bit pricey as far as gardens go (sen-en a person), the beauty of the well-maintained gardens more than made up for the price

東大寺南大門を借景とするお庭は、ここにしかない唯一無二のもので、もう「見事 … 」というしかありません。初めて見る人は、しばし「茫然自失」となるのではないでしょうか。素晴らしい発想と技術です。

とても風情があって良かったです。ただパンフレットが沢山あり、いかにも「解放してます！！」といった雰囲気の玄関が庭園の入口近くにあって入ってしまいそうになり、｢プライベートです｣と怒られました。
無断で入ってしまったのは申し訳なかったですが、せめて何か分かりやすいところに看板を立ててもらうなどして欲しいです。

日本庭園が秀逸です。

春日山、東大寺山門を借景に
心落ち着く回遊式の庭園です。

外国の方も少なく庭園を鑑賞しながら
夏は蝉時雨、春は野鳥のさえずりを聴きける
　　　とても静かなところです。

庭園のはるか彼方には阿倍仲麻呂が

　　天の原ふりさけ見れば春日なる

　　　　　　三笠の山に出でし月かも
　
　　　　と詠んだ三笠山を望むことができます。

今回の奈良への旅の目的地であった寧楽美術館。江戸時代に活躍した、大分県竹田市出身の作家・田能村竹田氏が晩年に残したと言われる、全１３間からなる大作「亦亦一楽帖」が常設されているとのことで見に行きました。残念ながら行った日は常設展にて展示されておらず、次回は４月からの展示とのことでしたが、係の方がご丁寧に対応していだき、参考資料をもとに説明していただきました。また次回の楽しみとしてとっておきたいと思います。依水園は若草山、東大寺の門を借景にした素晴らしい庭園です。

This exquisite, contemplative Meiji-era garden features abundant greenery, ponds and walkways with stepping stones designed for each to be observed as you walk, to appreciate their individual beauty. Admisson covers the adjoining 'Neiraku Art Museum, displaying Chinese and Korean ceramics and bronze in quiet setting

This garden I fantastic, in many ways a hidden gem among the busy park and surrounding area of Nara. I came here mid November, and the colors were amazing. I couldn't stop taking pictures! (I went through the garden twice just to enjoy it more!) Definitely recommended if you want to enjoy a moment of peace and tranquility even mid day on a Sunday. It can get busy outside with foot traffic, but once you pass through the entrance and enter the garden (admission area) it is a different world. The included museum admission is also interesting and a quick visit. I also recommend visiting the tea house/restaurant; Order some green tea and sweets to get the full experience.

Small but you should stay hours and enjoy the tranquility. “Expensive” is subjective, you can walk through it in 10 minutes, don’t. If you have time to relax, I recommend! If you’re a city folk, fast walk type person, stay out ;)

A lush beautiful garden with more fall colours than we saw in any other place that we visited during our trip (mid-nov).

If you're lucky, you might even meet a volunteer guide at the entrance who would provide a free tour of the garden in English!

Beautiful gardens with a tea room serving some food and drinks. Like most of Nara, it's peaceful with relatively few tourists. The autumn foliage is some of the best I've seen so far and no crowds of people taking selfies!

依水園は奈良公園エリア、東大寺大仏殿からほど近いエリアに在り､氷室神社の境内北側に広がる奈良最大級の規模を誇る日本庭園です。
小さな池と三秀亭と呼ばれる建物、茶室を中心とした空間、池泉回遊式庭園となっており、自然あふれる池の周囲も散策できます。
東大寺南大門、若草山、春日山を借景とする圧巻の風景が広がる空間が見られました。
京都の修学院離宮、桂離宮とは違った｢日本｣らしさを象徴する落ち着いた風景は本当に素敵でした。

One of the best gardens in the world (i've been to many, i know what im talking about). From this one you'll get the real medieval samurai Japan. Every corner of the garden is different in some way and its beautiful. Must visit if you're nearby.
