和牛スジカレー

I’m not even exaggerating when I say that this might’ve been my favourite meal in the entire of Japan. Located on the second floor, this place just felt so cozy and mum and pop and everything about it made me think “a warm lone cottage in the middle of Winter”.

And as the vibes suggested, my word was the meal absolutely beautiful. Once again proving that sometimes less is more, this places pure focus on curry-based rice dishes proved fruitful. Not only was it the best Japanese curry I ever had, but again, might’ve been the best meal I’ve had in Japan. And trust me, I’ve had some pretty up there and decadent meals. But this one was just amazing. Absolutely amazing. If you’re in Nara, I beg you to pay this place a visit. You won’t regret it.

Very cute and family run little Japanese curry place. We stopped on our way to Nara park, loved our dishes (veggie and beef curry) but we regretted not ordering the ones with omelette, they looked next level!

カレー頼むと福神漬、らっきょ、奈良漬け、キャベツ？、干しぶどうの5種類の薬味が出てきます。
個人的にはらっきょか、福神漬だけでいいかな。
オムカレーは卵がふわふわで、カレーに合ってました。サラダセットも野菜が新鮮で美味しかったです。

Stumbled upon this restaurant, right beside the famous mochi shop. Their beef curry is really delicious and enjoyed it a lot.

ご飯は大盛りで丁度良い感じでした！
ゴロゴロ大きいお肉が柔らかかったです。
ですが、お肉めちゃくちゃアッサリしてます。
カレーはどこかぼんやりした味で、付け合せでようやくシャキッとする感じでした。
自分は甘いのが好きなのでレーズンをカレーに沈めて食べました (笑)

お店の雰囲気も接客も良かっただけに、メインがうーん (´-`)

すじカレーの口コミは良げなので、次あればそっち食べよーっと。

女の定員の態度が最悪。
他にもありますが割愛します。
味は不味くはないけど、大して美味しくもなくどこにでもある味です。
この店のせいで奈良が嫌いになりました。
一生奈良に行くことはないでしょう。

前から来たくてやっと寄せて貰いました。丁度満席だったので少し待ちました。和牛スジカレーにしました。きた時には、少ないと思いましたが丁度でした。腹が減ってる人には大盛りがいいと思います。辛さは、丁度いいですが辛いのが好きな人には店のスパイスがあります。付け合わせに福神漬け、らっきょう、奈良漬け、レーズン、ザワークラウトがでて来て美味しかったです。平日は、割安でサラダとドリンクのセットも付けられます。奈良公園の近くで観光客が多いので混んでるかも知れませんが美味しかったです。

美味しいですが若干、観光地価格といった印象を受けました。席を考慮してくれる細やかさがありましたが、対応や言葉が若干キツく (同伴者も「気にしないで良いと思う」とフォローするレベルの言葉です) 、会計も急かされてたのが惜しく思いました。
