The Wright R-3350 Duplex-Cyclone Turbocharged motor is exhibited here, how come? It is a twin-row, supercharged, air-cooled, radial aircraft engine with 18 cylinders displacing nearly 55 L. Power ranged from 2,200 to over 3,700 hp.

This is nothing but mounted on the wing of Boeing B-29 and fell down around Tenkawa-village deep in the mountain over 70 years ago. It must have been attacked by our local fighter, anti-aircraft gun fire or any accidental failure?

Because of high performance of this US motor, our attacker could not catch and follow it at high altitude, revealing the disparity of industrial technology between us at that time.

An important part of enemy's bomber plane B-29 implies the worst tragedy that is about to be forgotten these days.
Worth watching by your naked eyes for yourself in front of the "Real thing itself"!

過去に日本に墜落したB29のエンジンが展示されていた。
