Outstanding food and service! We had two wonderful curries, full of flavor and we even got a couple oragami deers to boot. The coffee dessert was lovely! Please check this place out!

The curry was delicious. What's more:
(1) you can hear great live guitar performance upon request;
(2) there are miniature replicas of scenery from Nara;
(3) monthly exhibits of old maps and art;
(4) cute cat themed decorations.

Very cosy and delicious homemade curry! Came here after sake tasting as we were craving for some warm food, and definitely worth the trip.

This was a cozy, delightful place to have a meal after a long day of walking. The owners welcomed us in off a teeny tiny street, were very attentive without hovering, and of course the curry and the chai they served were both delicious. They were kind to make the baked curry vegetarian. Recommend!

Lovely ambience and delicious home made curry. They have a well translated English menu and you can order any dish in half-size so good for those who wants to try more on the menu (for example me). I had the seasonal special curry - very tasty. And tea with three kinds of jam (grape, orange peel and fig) which went well with tea. About 10 mins walk from main attraction so great for a quick bite without paying for overpriced tourist food.

Such a beautiful café and the staff were incredibly nice and spoke really good English. Will definitely visit again when I'm in town.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in a quiet and quaint Nara neighborhood. This was my first time ever trying Japanese curry so I wanted to make sure I went somewhere local and with a good atmosphere. I was not disappointed at all with the friendly husband and wife running the restaurant. The food was amazing and I love that they offer 1/2 portion size plates so you can try different plates without ordering too much food at once. I got the chicken curry (full size) and the baked curry (half size). I’ve never seen baked curry before but it tasted amazing especially the cheese on top. At the end of my meal I ordered cookies and ice cream with a hot tea. The wife also spoke very good English and was helpful on explaining the menu. Please try this restaurant if you’re in Nara.

Side note: this restaurant is located in an alleyway so it can be hard to locate at first. I added a pic of the alleyway for reference.

Absolutely wholesome experience. We visited this place after a whole day of trekking in the Nara park and the pork curry was one of the best I ever had. Also, the lady who served the food was one of the nicest people so far I've met in Japan.

Delicious veggi curry, very nice and friendly people and an origami deer as a present! Absolutely recommend this cozy hidden gem!

One of my favourite meals in Japan was the pork curry at this place. It's a bit of a walk from the park but 100% worth it. The owners are incredibly friendly and also gave us a little origami deer on the way out. Looking forward to visiting again.

とてもアットホームな、カレー屋さんです。ご主人様と奥様は、とてもいいかたでした。私が、伺った日は、カレーが４種類ありました。私は、ハーフアンドハーフを頼みました。量も多すぎずとても美味しかったです。

Went for dinner. Great little place. The best curry we had in Japan. Very nice owners, they make you feel very welcome. Do not miss this place when you are in Nara.

お昼時から少し間のあいた14時半ごろにお邪魔しました。「おやつカレー」と言うハーフサイズのカレーがあり。お手間だったと思いますが、4種類のカレー全てをハーフサイズで頂きました。
もちろん、どれも美味しかったのですが、取り分け酒粕ポークカレーが好みでした！

店内はマスターお手製で奈良の風景を切り取ったジオラマと、ギターが並んでいて、リクエストも可能なようです。

コーヒーも豆から挽いてるようなので、次回はゆっくり、カレーとコーヒーを楽しもうと思います。

I love this quaint little place that’s run by a husband and wife. The curry is delicious and beats the chain curry restaurants you find all over Japan. Definitely worth stopping in if you’re a curry lover, like me. I ordered the first curry on their menu. I could literally eat it everyday! Their desserts are wonderful too. Thank you so much to the owners for this wonderful place. I will remember this place and miss it when I go back to America! Also, the gift at the very end after paying melted my heart. You don’t find this type of hospitality back home ️

Stopped by after walking for a couple hours in Nara Park. Curry with pork belly and the chicken+spinach curry were so tasty we finished in under 15 mins. They even have half size portions for those that aren’t starving or can’t eat too much in one sitting. Owners were so kind they even gave us these deer origami as we left! Would recommend to anyone looking for homemade curry away from the busier streets.

カレー四種類食べ比べしまし、どれも本当に美味しかったですマスターとママのお話しも楽しく、『こるり通信』と手作りのジオラマ達とても素敵でした！
そして、ギターでセッションとても楽しい時間でしたまたお伺いしますよん私もね（嫁）

ご縁をいただいたお店の開店祝いを春鹿さんに買いに行った帰りに訪問。
入り口は民家のようで少し訪問にハードル高いですが、入ると素敵な女性が迎えてくださいました。
焼きカレーを目当てに行ったのですが、今のメニューにはないようで、残念。
どれも美味しそうだったので、おやつカレーで２品を選択。
秋野菜のカレーと、酒粕ポークカレーを選択、あわせてこだわりのコーヒーも
秋野菜カレーは季節の野菜とカレーが絶品酒粕ポークカレーは酸味のあるカレーでした。どちらもテーブルのスパイスオイル？で辛さの調整ができます。どちらも美味しく、汗だくでいただきました。
食後のコーヒーも雑味がなく旨味が凝縮した、一品。久々美味しいカレーと美味しいコーヒに大満足です。
ただ、私の体格にあわせて盛ってもらった？ご飯と、カレールーのバランスが少し悪かったのか、ご飯多めのカレーでした。
次は焼きカレーを食べてみたいです。
