This little cottage is a gem and more so is it’s host! She help us out and went out of her way to help us. She pick up our luggage and drop it off when it was checkout time.
The cottage is very convenient to the bus station and in a quiet area. It was clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped with a variety of breakfast.
What really takes the cake is the host. She very easy to talk to and very helpful. Her place is perfect for anyone visiting Nikko!

Fantastic! So beautiful with a traditional charm and comfortable. The host is so sweet and attentive.

Yoshiko was an amazing hostess, she picked us up, dropped us off, came every day to clean and leave us different foods for breakfast which was really sweet. She also spoke English beautifully and we enjoyed learning about Nikko, food, sights, Japan-in-general from her. She responded nearly instantaneously to our communication asks before and during the stay. She lives right across the road so we knew we could find her if we needed.

We were there for 4 nights and loved the whole stay (one of the highlights of our month long trip), in large part because of how warm and welcoming Yoshiko was and of course how spectacular Nikko!

The house was spotless, the heaters well appreciated (although because it's a cute old house the insulation is spotty) the spae was large, the shower very hot and pressure excellent, it was very quiet and we slept well, and overall if we could go back to Nikko (and we're already talking about how) we would stay with Yozhiko again!
