22 The good:
The location is perfect; the hotel is close to important districts like Akasaka, Roppongi, Nihonbashi, Marunouchi and Ginza.
The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished. The bed is good as well, with nice pillows. The AC worked very well, but I noticed that it sometimes smelled a bit off, which is understandable considering it’s location (buildings in Shiodome are mostly built on reclaimed land, and there is a noticeable fishy smell when it’s hot out.)
I recommend booking the 38th floor (called the Premium floor) as it has the best views and comes with some free drinks.
The bad: HORRIBLE WI-FI. There were times when I couldn’t even watch YouTube at 240p. Download speed was maxed at around 0.2mbps, with very high packet loss and jitter. This alone is the reason why this hotel gets 4 stars instead of 5.
The hotel is a great bang for your buck; it’s location, service, and rooms are 5-star worthy. However, the WiFi is just unacceptable, especially for a hotel at this price range.
