Want to remember the old days of gaming, want to look for something that you can't find anywhere else. This is the place to go hands down.

I was expecting a little more merchandise, but overall it is still a must visit in Akihabara. There were multiple floors stuffed full of retro consoles and games, and the top floor was an arcade.

One of my favorite places in Akihabara.
But the Osaka shop has more nice stuff in better condition, maybe because there's more people visiting the Akihabara shop, so is difficult to find rarities.

Very popular and crowded. A lot more expensive than even other Akihabara retro game shops, but their range makes it worth the trip.

Very good variety of old video games and consoles available here. However, prices are a bit on the high side and the staff weren't particularly helpful - though in their defense, I dont speak a word of Japanese, and they were polite and tried their best to answer my questions.

A must visit place for a game collector or a retro gamer. You may spend hours and it could take you back the next day to shop and spend all your dollars!
All games and consoles that are sold here are well wrapped and they put description the deviation of the product.

If you're into old school gaming material, that's the best. Upper floor has some arcades and snacks.

Best place to get any old videogames. It's just a magic land where I could spend day just watch at the stuff they have. But don't forget that most of the merchandise will be in Japanese.

Retro games/paraphernalia beyond anything you've seen before. Top floor arcade and free lung cancer though.

秋葉原のレトロゲームと言えば、とりあえずココ。階段の張り紙やゲームソフトの置き方とかからスタッフのレトロゲーム愛を感じる。5階は駄菓子屋兼レトロゲーム専門ゲーセンで、外国人受けが良いのも解る。

品揃えはさすが。お高めですけど、まちがいない。
ゲームセンターフロアは、昨今の秋葉原とは一線を画す「場末」感。
90年代の地元のゲーセンのような、猥雑な居心地の良さ。
あ〜こういうどうしようもない青春を過ごしてきたよな〜っていう、懐かしい気分になります。
秋葉原に行ったら必ず寄りたいお店です。

I'd heard horror stories of the prices here and to be honest, they were not as bad as I expected, but don't go in expecting to find "deals". Most of the retro games, even the common ones, are around ¥1000. The "junk" consoles were also pretty reasonable if you don't mind doing some repairs.

There are some cheaper places for buying second hand vintage games in Tokyo, but Super Potato is definitely still a mecca for those who love gaming. We were here for about a half hour just playing old games on the top floor. It has a nice and friendly atmosphere. All of the games and consoles they sell are in superb condition. If there is even the slightest blemish on a console or portable game system, the price goes down by a significant percentage so deals can be found.

A must-stop location for any fan of retro video games. Just go down the hall and up the stairs, you can't miss it!
