One of the dirtiest places I have ever seen in my entire life, btw the staff will not help you out with any of the problems you may have there. There are plenty of share houses in Tokyo cheaper and better if you make a little research, there are even places where you can work there, cleaning or doing some administrative work and you will be able to have a room in that share house for free. Taking into account the time I expend cleaning the akamonkai one I could have one paid XD -5/10

I stayed here for 3 weeks, and I really wish I had gone with a private hotel room. On the bright side, I did make friends with some of the people living in the dorms (they were great) and it was very close to convenience stores and restaurants. On the downside, I had to deal with roaches, dusty dirty shower/bathroom areas covered in other peoples hair and loud students. I was put in a room with 2 other girls, and just could not make it work. We were polite to each other, but it was just very awkward and unpleasant sharing a room with 2 other girls,
something I didn't even know would happen until I got to the dorm itself. One other girl would have been fine, but with 3 people coming in and out of the room at different intervalsI, it's bound to get a little messy. If you see yourself having issues with the sanitation issues or having roommates, I would suggest getting a private room if you're coming by yourself.

It's a good dormitory for the price. Has a lobby and everything. Relatively spacious for Japanese housing.
