Fully English-language dental surgery in Akasaka. I only had a basic checkup and cleaning but found the staff very professional and able to easily answer any questions or concerns I had.

Best dental clinic in Tokyo. They have excellent english and they are always very friendly. As someone who is very afraid of the dentist, I felt very comfortable. There are too many foreign patients. Insurance is ok in here. I went to many different dental clinics before in Tokyo but I couldn't go to any of them second time. I am very happy to have found this dental clinic. Thank you so much for everything.
Definitely choose this dental clinic, you won't find better.

Earlier this month, I was told that I “only had to have one more visit” for a previously root canaled tooth that wasn’t even hurting in the first place and that I’d only have to pay maybe ¥6k. The last visit, I ended up paying around ¥9k and was told I’d have to visit AGAIN, which made me feel like I was being taken for a ride. The last straw for me, however, was the dentist’s unprofessional behavior towards me. I’m a bit overweight and very self-conscious about that fact. During the procedure, the dentist had the gall to playfully poke me in my soft abdomen, which I found extremely disrespectful and inappropriate. I expected that it was common sense that a professional shouldn’t be doing things like that. The next day, I called them back, cancelled the appointment I made for next month and told them I was done with them for good.

Up to now I always tried to get my teeth fixed back in my home country at my trusted dentist’s. But I decided to battle my fear of being disappointed here in Japan and though I wasn’t sure if I would ever say “I’m looking forward to going to the dentist”, I definitely am looking forward to my next appointment.

The receptionist, the dental assistant and also the doctor were all wonderful and caring! They are talkative too, which makes the whole atmosphere really relaxed! They explain everything in detail and provide you with all necessary information about the treatment and the costs.

I think I found a new favourite dentist and I’m looking forward to my next appointment.

Friendly, but overpriced and did not make me fully aware of the cost of treatment or treatment plan before starting. Wasted a lot of money and didnt finish treatment. They also gave me a canker sore from the anaesthetic injenction area and tried to blame it on me having a lack of vitamin C (which is not the case) then charged me for some antibiotics because I was worried it was an infection or something. As someone else said, felt more like a customer than a patient, feel like they take advantage of people not being able to speak Japanese and not understanding the system here well. They only tried to offer me the most expensive treatments that I did not need as well.

Sad to say I had a very poor/strange experience here. After going in with pain from a wisdom tooth, I was told I had an infection and prescribed antibiotics. Upon returning over a month later with worsened symptoms, my x-ray showed a cavity. I was told that I would either need a filling or root canal, but knowing that it was a wisdom tooth & having already had one extracted from the opposite side - I asked for clarification why it was best to keep it & not pull it out. Rather then get a professional medical opinion, I was given a menu of costs/treatments and asked to choose my preference. I felt like a customer rather than a patient & my payment seemed far more important than my ongoing dental health. I chose to leave without any treatment yet still paid a fee on top of the one for the first misdiagnosis. I won't be going back here again

I'll be the first one to admit that I'm terrified of dentists. Since I had a traumatic experience as a kid (when I broke a tooth playing basketball) the dentist office was always the worst place imaginable. All of that just changed thanks to Hitomi Dental. I reached out to them for emergency assistance over horrific pain and was in need of a root canal ASAP. It was a huge relief to meet Misaki Yanai, a former English teacher who lived in America, and she was extremely helpful! She: scheduled my appointment, followed up with me before and after the visit, carefully explained the medical procedure & broke down the bill BEFORE BEGINNING TREATMENT! I would definitely vote her as Employee of the Year! My dentist, Dr. Ai Tsuchinaga, was a total expert. I think she was trained by ninjas because she got the mission accomplished before I even realized it! Where do they find these awesome employees? Seriously! Did I mention the best part? The price was incredible. I thought they were joking and said, "this is too low! " I would travel on an airplane if necessary to get to Hitomi Dental. Two thumbs way up. I promise they didn't pay me to post this review. Go see for yourself if you need a dentist.

Excellent and highly recommended dental practice. From the reception staff, to the dentists, to the dental hygienists, everyone is very friendly, helpful and professional.

Highly recommend. They accept NHI, speak English and actually listening to you. Open on Saturdays and can accept clients without making appointments. Huge plus is that I got tooth colored filling on my 7th tooth and it was covered by insurance. As far as I know in Japan it's something rare.

The best dental office for foreigners. I have done two extractions, a filling and started my braces March, 2019. I have no regrets at all. They have great customer service. The staff is excellent, professional, very welcoming and they speak English. I love Hitomi Dental! You guys are awesome? Donett.

Best dentist I have ever visited. Qmazing staff, very professional, very affordable and quick and painless. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Wonderful dental office. Professional and friendly staff, pleasant decor at reception, examination room and comfortable waiting area. I needed amoxicillin as a premed to my cleaning and there was no issue. The office had the medication ready for me upon arrival. When in Tokyo, this is where I'll go for dental care.
