食べ物は計算されていませんでした。これまで食べた中で最も奇妙な味の料理で、申し訳ありませんが、ほとんどの料理は吐きそうになりました。結局ほとんどの食器を返品しました。最後のデザートは、甘いジェルに入ったイチゴでした!それが私たちにとって唯一食べられるものでした。私たちが今まで食べた中で最も高価なイチゴ。サービスは一流で、雰囲気は素晴らしかったです。

素晴らしい精進料理。ほとんどのコースの味は完璧にバランスが取れています。サービスも素晴らしいです。食事の後は、レストランの裏にある素敵な庭園を訪れることができます。いくつかの料理が期待をわずかに下回っていたので、5つ星の評価は付けませんでしたが、それでも素敵な場所であり、また訪れると思います。

Well it was an interesting experience… about 7course, all of them petite, different sort of food but not particularly good… we all left hungry lol and am rather happy we all chose not to drink alcohol because … at $280 a head for the fixed menu (second cheapest) it was a total rip off. Not doing Michelin restaurants again; just code for rip off. But it was excellent service and a truely good (but overly expensive) experience not worth.

The food didn’t compute. Weirdest tasting dishes I have ever eaten, sorry to say this but most them made us feel like throwing up. Ended up returning most of the dishes. Desert at the end was Strawberry in a sugary gel! That was the only edible item for us. The most expensive strawberry we have ever eaten. Service was top notch and the ambiance great.

A one of a kind dining experience that I will not soon forget. The service makes you feel like a celebrity. My wife suggested we go to Daigo to celebrate our anniversary. Although I don’t really like vegetables a whole lot I agreed to go on her suggestion. I was not disappointed. The food was very tasty. The ambiance was very relaxing and calming. And thanks to the wonderful staff we had a memorable anniversary. We are thinking of making Daigo our annual anniversary place.

Shojin ryori, a vegetarian restaurant here. All fresh food without too heavy seasoning, you can enjoy the original taste of ingredients, it fits to the Japanese cuisine philosophy. Each piece of food and bowl/plate was presented as art. And what is more impressive was the service. If you want to experience Japanese culture, here is the place. Sitting on the tatami and looking at the Japanese garden, guests are waited before the entrance of the restaurant and led through the garden to an old temple exit by a waiter with a lantern at the end of the dinner. We were overwhelmed by this level of service! Probably this kind of service package is easier to find in old cities like Kyoto but quite rare in Tokyo I guess…

This is one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the World. The care and hospitality by the Waitresses and Chef is at the highest level of consideration.

Walking into our room I was awed by the beautiful setting, long table and garden. The waitress immediately made me feel completely comfortable.

And then came the food. Stunning presentation. Exquisite, delicate, and complex tastes.

This is a wonderful restaurant and worthy of its Michelin commendation. Highly recommended.

The head chef is the third generation owner. He is trained in French cuisine and is a young wizard. The restaurant is in great hands with him.

兄弟姉妹の集まりで食事会。精進料理と思って見た目も味もお粗末という料理が出てくるわけではありません。見目も麗しく、香り、味、全てが満足できる高いレベルで、本当に精進料理なのかと目を疑う数々のメニューに舌鼓を打ってる間に、気持ちの良い控えめな接客を受けながら瞬く間に2〜3時間は過ぎて行きます。お勧めです!

I really liked having our own quite space away from everyone and the view of the garden. The food was incredible too. As a vegetarian, Shojin Ryori is the best way to experience traditional Japanese cuisine.

A place that feels like you have escaped the city. A beautiful private setting overlooking the garden with a cozy, intimate feel. Staff are lovely and welcoming. Food is best described as harnessing the simplicity of ingredients, not overwhelming them but letting them shine.

Really good experience! We asked for the vegan menu. It was our first visit to a Michelin restaurant and we really enjoyed it. Staff is so warm, even when not all of them speak English. What we liked the most is that it is “so Japanese”: it has tatami and we sit on the floor. Exactly what we were looking for.

If you want really large dishes or food based in animal protein, this is not your place. It is a kaiseki restaurant, please note that to know what to expect. Dishes don’t have meat and the portions are not that big (because you will have like 15 courses!)

Excellent and exquisite Japanese 10-course meal. Highly recommend and it’s kids-friendly. Need to book in advance due to popular demand. (Lunch is easier)

素晴らしいロケーションで出される侘しい料理。
大将はこんなに貧乏くさい料理を出して恥ずかしくないのか?
こんなによいロケーションで素晴らしい店構えなのに残念でならない。
僕だったら現状に甘んじないでもっともっと精進の世界を勉強しますね。何の工夫もないただ侘しくなるだけの野菜料理たちでした。
原価1000円ほどじゃないか?

大将、もう一度懐石か精進の基本を身につけてほしいです。
お出汁の味も合わなかったです。
残念でならない。

都心の喧騒を忘れて心穏やかな時間が過ごせるお店。お部屋から眺める庭が素敵で心が和み、精進料理に箸を進めるに従って日々の忙しさから心が解放され、非日常を楽しめる空間。
料理は一品一品すべて素材の味が感じられ美味しかったです。お腹はいっぱいになるものの、日頃炭水化物や揚げ物、お肉を好んで食べている私みたいな人にとってはやや物足りなさも感じてしまいました。

A true Japanese experience.

We had a vegan tasting menu (ask for it in advance) and please note that they would normally cook "shojin vegetarian food" with fish stock - which cannot be considered vegetarian nor vegan in the western world at least.
You need to specify that you don't want dashi.

However you want to consider your dietary preferences, this restaurant open since 1950 offers a truly great experience.
We had a private room for ourselves with a low table, comfortable floor chair and a nice view on the typical garden.
Typically extremely elegant and detailed service, outstanding, as you would expect from a two starred Michelin restaurant and as normally happens in Japan.

It took me a few courses to understand the dinner structure, obviously very distant to our European experiences but I very much enjoyed the surprise factor and the fact that I felt as reading a page of the immense Japanese culinary experience book by dining at Daigo.

Worth a mention the buckwheat noodle soup with three different flavours to be mixed for a strong-delicate contrast in taste. Wonderful discovery, the "shrimp potato" and a (quasi) turnip dish with sesame paste. Extremely elegant and light vegetable tempura.

Daigo impressed with a strongly dedicated team delivering a typical Japanese experience worth a trip to Tokyo.

接待での利用でした。ビルの中とは思えない和風一軒家のような作りで、20畳程の広間で枯山水の中庭が見えるお部屋を利用。ベジタリアンの外国人の方相手でしたが、食事の内容には安心感あります。

二度と行きませんミシュランの星が自慢の要ですが味、独創性、盛り付け、~サービスに至るまで私には合わず。でした星を付けた方は何処に着目されたのかでした。あくまでも私の主観です。南無阿弥陀仏
