入る前は、ここがどれほど魔法のような場所になるか想像すらできませんでした。女主人はとても流暢な英語で、楽しそうに食べ物について説明してくれました。また、コミュニケーションをより良くするために、もっと勉強しようと努力し続けていたことも素晴らしかったです。マスターは恥ずかしがり屋でしたが親切でした。出発前にプレゼントとして可愛いものまで作ってくれました。私は間違いなくここに再訪し、このレストランで一日を過ごせました 食べ物は素晴らしく、お好み焼きを食べた後にふらふらしなかったのは初めてです。オーナーはこの場所が有名になることを望んでいないように感じますが、この場所は有名になるに値すると思います。

During the early days of our Japan trip, we stumbled upon a delightful little Okonomiyaki restaurant run by a lovely couple. From the moment we walked in, they welcomed us with genuine warmth and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was exceptional.

The hostess was not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about Okonomiyaki. She took the time to explain each type of Okonomiyaki on the menu, giving us tips on how to enjoy them to the fullest and describing the flavors we could expect. Her guidance made our meal even more enjoyable.

She even shared some great local tips, like what to do if different cities we where going to visit, what to expect during the Golden week. She also suggested a fantastic shop in Kyoto with 400 years of history - Eirakuya, where we found beautiful traditional Japanese hand towels that made a perfect gift for my mother.

The husband added his personal touch to the restaurant by decorating it with adorable figurines and scenes. It gave the place a charming and unique atmosphere, adding character to the already delightful experience.

Okonomiyaki itself was absolutely delicious! Each variety we tried was expertly prepared, bursting with flavors, and beautifully presented.

KYOYA was more than just a restaurant! I loved the food, the atmosphere, and most of all - the owners. It might just be my favourite experience from my trip.
Their website has an English menu, and the owner speaks English, so there is no need to worry about the language barrier.

Fantastic evening, the food is delicious and the owners are so caring, even made the effort to speak french to make us confortable. They explained us everything about okonomiyaki. Definitely recommend to every foreigners in the area.

8 tables restaurant held by 2 wonderful elders probably doing this to share their amazing cooking skills. Reservation is almost mandatory as it gets full super fast as it is well known. The atmosphere is very nice and the lady teaches everything you want to know about Japan and Japanese cuisine. She speaks very good English and French as well! This is a must go if you can make the reservation, you won't regret it!

Absolutely loved the food and owners who were so welcoming and would cater to our needs and they cook on the table in front of you so it is a true Japanese food experience. They can customise dishes for vegetarians too. The owners were so knowledgeable and explained the history and differences between the dishes from different regions of Japan! Loved the decor too! The owners were a delight to talk to about different cultures and it felt like being in your own home. Highly recommended!

I recently visited an Okonomiyaki restaurant that I have to say is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The restaurant is a hidden gem in the city, and I'm confident that anyone who visits this place will agree with me when I say that it's a 10 out of 10.

From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was warmly welcomed by the owner couple who speak fluent English and have vast knowledge not only about Tokyo but also all the major cities in the world. They made me feel at home, and I knew right away that I was in for a treat.

The restaurant offers different types of Okonomiyaki, which is a popular soul food in Japan. The chef explained to me all the different types of Okonomiyaki in Japan and the differences between each city. I decided to order the seasonal flavor, which was made of Sakura and sea salt, and it was absolutely amazing. The taste was so good that I didn't need any additional seasoning, and I could taste the sweetness of the flower and the salt that opened up the flavor. The chef cooked it in front of me, and I could see the ingredients being mixed and cooked till crispy, then served to my plate.

Apart from the Okonomiyaki, I also ordered the Yakisoba noodle, and I got to choose my sauce. I picked the Yuzu flavor, which was very refreshing and made the umami of the soba open up.

However, what I enjoyed the most was the conversation that I had with the chef. Both of them have vast knowledge about Japanese culture and are willing to share it with you. The owner had the kindest heart and personality that made everyone want to talk with her. All the customers were enjoying the conversation with her, and it added to the entire dining experience.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Japanese cuisine and wants to have a unique and authentic dining experience. I can't wait to visit this place again and spread the word to all my friends in Japan to pay a visit.

The best okonomiyaki I have ever had. They serve Osaka-style and Tokyo-style okonomiyaki. The female owner speaks very good English and was a blast to talk with. Her husband decorated the entire room with figurines and even the toilet has a whole Ghibli theme. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Wonderful okonomiyaki hole in the wall run by a beautiful couple that loves to welcome tourists!

Lovely little restaurant owned by a couple. The husband has been working at this shop for 35 years, and his passion for kabuki shows in their decor. We were the only customers early on Monday so we were able to speak to the husband and wife duo. They taught us a lot about okonomiyaki and a little bit about kabuki. The portions are on the smaller side if you’re hungry, so I recommend ordering more food.

One of the most soulful and beautiful dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment of stepping in, the place had a welcoming feel, and by the time I left, I felt I was leaving home. The food was amazing, and the accompanying backstory we received with each dish elevated the meal even further. Will definitely visit again the next time I'm in Tokyo ️

I had one of the best experiences while dining at Kyoya last night. The owners are "salt of the Earth" people, very friendly and hospitable. The food was excellent. The atmosphere, food, and hospitality are among the best I've had. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Arigato)

가게주인분들은 일본어, 영어, 프랑스어를 할 줄 아시고 한국어도 공부하시고 계십니다. 일본에서 여행다니며 짜게 먹었던 기억이 많지만 이 가게에서는 담백하고 맛있게 즐겼습니다. 음식을 주문하면서 먹는 방법, 만드는 방법들을 배우실 수 있어 정말 즐거웠습니다. 이 글을 보시는 여러분들께 꼭 한번 가보시는 걸 추천합니다. 너무 즐겁고 좋게 여행을 마무리할 수 있어서 다음에 일본에 올 시 꼭 다시 가고 싶습니다.
