1 Local family-run Tofu shop. The owner said he is the fourth in business that has been running over 100 years. Walking distance from famous Yasukuni shrine, nearest metro stations are Ichigaya or Kudanshita.
I bought soy milk, fried tofu, and Ganmodoki (deep fried tofu with sliced vegetables - carrot and black sesame seeds) and enjoyed my easy to go lunch at the nearest park. All fresh and nourishing, very full-filling since they are all plant based protein.
If you are looking for something healthy and vegetarian/vegan snack options (which is still challenging even in Tokyo) while sightseeing, definitely recommended.
I think they only accept cash but 1000 yen note should be enough to feel full. The owner may not speak English but you can try google translation!
地元で100年以上続くお豆腐屋さん。今は4代目だそう。生揚げ、寄せ豆腐、豆乳、がんもどきを購入。どれももちろん美味しい。近くの公園でお昼ごはんにしました。このような地元のお豆腐屋さんが長く続かれますよう。
