Fantastic and authentic sushi experience. Great lunch menu. Beautiful setting and cordial service.
Great spot for lunch. 1,100 yen for set which includes ~10 pieces of sushi, seaweed salad, tea, and miso soup. It is a small restaurant and they do reserve the entire space for groups, so sometimes you may be turned away. It is helpful to speak some Japanese but not essential, so long as you are polite and respectful.
Oh my goodness, go here at lunch on a weekday! No reservation required, filled with happy locals, and hearty lunch specials for ¥1100-2200 ($10-20 USD). We ordered the ¥1100 and ¥1500 sushi sets respectively and it was almost as good as the best sushi we had by the fish market.
Lacks persistence to quality of fish. They served low quality fish at regular price when they were not able to procure the good quality ones and did not hesitate to lie to us that it’s same as usual. Apparently failed to deceive loyal customer!
I was turned away from this restaurant after walking quite a distance. Just showed me a reserve sign despite there were no people waiting and a lot of them are finished with their food. It's just a disappointment.
The guy at the reception wanted to let us wait for seats but the person behind the counter shouted to him and he immediately showed me the reserve sign.
