The staff here is incredible! We had a group of around 20 people and they were organized and efficient in getting us ready for a big wedding (not to mention in the middle of a large typhoon!) We had people of all shapes and sizes and everyone looked great. I highly recommend this shop for a Kimono rental

Our group rented our kimonos from this place. Despite the typhoon, the staff were extremely helpful! They had many different sizes and were even able to accommodate our friend who is about 200cm tall. There were many different colors and styles to choose from. They have an incredibly efficient system. Their english is great also. Would definitely recommend this location.

Great rental. Very accommodating. Speaks English, Chinese, and Korean. Very smooth process and they had lots of helpers. The kimonos are beautiful, even my friend who is ugly (he’s about a 3 out of 10, not overweight but he’s just meh) looked amazing, and he had many new “friends” by the end of the night. 10/10 with (d) rice.

Really good kimono rental place, right in Asakusa, perfect place to enjoy a walk in Kimono. The staff is really kind and professional and they know how to pick up the right kimono for you! Great experience!

Im so glad we chose Yae kimono becos e service was impeccable! We booked in advance to make sure we secured our timing. Huge selection of beautiful n high quality kimonos and the boss n staff helped suggested some styles that were suitable for me and 6 yr old daughter. The staff were friendly n professional, spoke very fluent English n Mandarin. We got dressed pretty quickly by e staff (super efficient and skilled), e details were impeccable right down to putting on e kimono n styling e hair. I must say i m very impressed by Yae. This is my 2nd experience wif renting kimono (1st was last year at another shop) and tat pales in comparison to e service at Yae. The styling was so much better n trendy n detailed we felt very pretty when we walked out of the shop.
We had e photography session n it was awesome!
Overall a very enjoyable experience n we will definitely return nx year for another kimono experience!

Beautiful kimonos, great service (staff speak English and chinese) with a wide variety of choices. And despite feeling a bit overwhelmed, they were great in aiding us choose and were overall extremely helpful and efficient with our very large (and tall) group

It's hard not to recommend this place above many of the other kimono rental shops in Asakusa. The staff is courteous, helpful, and multi-lingual. The person helping us was fluently switching between us (in English), another group (in Chinese), and the other staff (in Japanese). I was impressed with their kimono selection, and the prices were very reasonable for the experience. They even provide some hair and makeup styling services for women. I definitely recommend them if you're looking to try out traditional Japanese clothing while visiting Senso-ji.

Great efficient experience here. Even during a typhoon the staff was in great spirits and got us properly prepared for our wedding. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a kimono!

Amazing place! They opened just for our large party even in the middle of a typhoon. Quickest updo I’ve ever gotten (to the point where now I just feel ripped off in America). They accommodated women and men of all different shapes and sizes. Would highly recommend this place for any of your kimono rental needs.

We had a very large group and the women who measured and fitted us were so friendly and fast. We were in and out with time to spare before the wedding - even during an historic typhoon! Would definitely recommend this fine establishment for future rentals!

It isn't just the photo-taking that is fun, "Yae" made the wearing experience just as great! AMAZING service with lots of different designs and sizes up till 4XL to choose from! Everyone is so skilled and professional and despite the slight crowd, they prepared your clothes and hair (for ladies) promptly. Highly recommended! And it's just a short walk before you reach the Nakamise street and Sensoji Temple.

They have really nice staff and help you out every step of the way. The time it takes to put on kimono and do hair depends on each person, but it was pretty fast for me. Also, I did the photo set and the photographer was so kind and helped me a lot since I never took photos before. Thank you!

People at Yae are friendly and helpful. They have a lot of customers but always service with a smile. Not only that, they are also quick and efficient, with great selection of kimonos.

I loved this experience! I booked a few days ahead, and also booked a half hour photo shoot. It was easy to find from Asakusa station. While the shop was very busy, the staff were all super nice and friendly. There were so many beautiful kimonos to pick from - it was a difficult choice! My fiancé also came along and was fitted out in beautiful robes too. I picked a hairstyle from the book and was really happy with the way i looked in the kimono, the hair style, the flower hair clip and bag. The photographer was so awesome - she had us posing like professionals at really stunning spots outdoors, even though there were massive crowds. The photo proofs looked great! We went on a rickshaw ride and we had so many people take photos of us. I really loved this experience - I was a bit nervous that a non asian tourist might not be so welcome to wear a kimono, but I really was welcome and I learned about kimono types and how to actually be dressed up into one. It’s not something you can do by yourself.
