It's such an educative place housed in an ordinary building with an extraordinary history. They not only have a descriptive display of vivid types of paper but also a demo that shows how traditional washi paper was made. In an era where global forces are combining to reduce usage of plastic, this might be just the right place for industrious creative minds to get inspired and try making paper of their own version to contribute towards saving the planet. I was really glad to have visited this place at least once.

It's a great place to buy some souvenir made with washi. But it's also a great place to learn the process of making washi, discover how people use to make it and how they still do.
You can also practice at the first floor and leave with your handmade peace of paper.
I strongly recommend to discover this cultural experience!
Wish I could spend more time here. Must give the washi making workshop a try. Very interesting experience and the washi displays were beautiful.
Beautiful place with amazing selection of paper materials. The place to go for Japanese paper art, calligraphy and watercolor
