After discussing my usual cut and desired look, Oyagi gave me a wonderful haircut using a dry cut method, proving much needed style and volume during the summer season. The salon has a very pleasant atmosphere and the hair wash/ scalp massage was amazing. I will be back!

Very good experiences with the hair stylist Tomomi and the colorist Uchida San. They both do excellent jobs for my hair. Love it! I will come again for my next Tokyo visit.

My hair colorist takehiro uchida was so awesome. He was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what I wanted. My hair turned out great! I will definitely come back to the salon next time.

It was my first time going to a hair salon in Japan so I was a little bit nervous, but reading all the good reviews I decided to give it a try. Oyagi-san was very understanding of my needs and what kind of hairstyle I needed and gave me some helpful advice in regards to how to get the volume that I need etc.

While traveling in Japan, I was desperate for a haircut, but was very nervous about trying to find somewhere and someone who was comfortable cutting non-Japanese hair. I am so glad I found Eclat Daikanyama and Tomoyuki Oyagi. He was wonderful. After showing him some pictures, he got it spot on! I’d also recommend the hair treatment, which was among the most relaxing 60 minutes of my life. This is a place you can count on to get it right!

初めて来て、カットとカラーをお願いしました。２ヶ月前に別の美容室でブリーチとカラーして根元が黒くなってきたので、グラデーションがあるブリーチとカラーをお願いしました。すっきりしたアッシャーベースと金髪グラデーションになってメチャカッコいいです。吉永さんはしっかりヒアリングできて技術もすごく良かったです。

大八木さんは男らしいラインが入ってるフェードカットにしてくれました。気に入ってます！

女性お客さんが多いイメージでしたが、男性でも安心して通える店です！

I had a wonderful haircut at Eclat Daikanyama! As a nervous worrier about getting my locks cut, I chose this salon based on reading other reviews. Wow, I am thoroughly impressed! Stylist Tomoyuki Oyagi did exactly what I wanted (brought a photo with me). Beyond happy, and might come back to Tokyo for another cut soon!

I was looking for a good English speaking salon in Tokyo, I found éclat daikanyama from a review online and was so glad I gave it a try! Tomoyuki san (Oyagi) cut my hair perfectly and Takehiro san (Uchida) came up with an amazing silver colour, I couldn't be happier with the service from the entire staff. The staff were also happy to speak simple Japanese to me but we could communicate clearly in English as well. Thanks so much and I look forward to coming back soon!

Eclat Daikanyama gave me the best hair cut and color since I’ve been in Japan! I am from the US, and have lived in Japan for over a year. I wasn’t sure that stylists in Japan would be able to give me the blonde highlights I wanted on my ash brown hair, and this salon nailed it! The cut was done by Tomoyuki Oyagi, and he gave me beautiful layers and cut my side swept bangs perfectly (I’m usually worried they will be too short, and he was very patient with the cutting). The color was done by Takehiro Uchida. I showed him a few pictures of colors I wanted and he gave me exactly what I was looking for. He is an absolute expert in coloring, and I am very happy that he understands blondes, highlights, and natural hair tendencies. I highly recommend a visit!

Just got a haircut at Eclat Daikanyama from stylist Tomoyuki Oyagi. Would highly recommend! I don’t have the best Japanese language skills but the staff made me feel comfortable and catered to my requests. This is a great salon and I plan on returning if the opportunity presents itself.

Oyagi-san is the best! I've been coming to see him since moving to Tokyo, and this is hands down one of the best salons I've ever been to.

I was blown away by my experience here; I really can’t recommend it highly enough.

I was really happy with both the cut and color that I received! Yoshinaga-san (吉永恭将), the colorist, really took his time to listen to what I wanted and talked through my possible options for getting there. He recommended doing a gradation color — he took my severely grown out roots and completely transformed my hair. Let me tell you, it was not a short process (over five hours) and every care was taken throughout. He was honest and upfront with how it would fade and also recommended products to maintain the color.

Oyagi-san (大八木智之) listened to what I wanted and tailored the cuts to my needs and habits. He used a dry-cut technique and really gave my hair some much-needed shape.

Overall, the service at Eclat goes beyond and beyond. They offer a free drink menu (the yuzu tea is great), the ambiance is stylish and clean, and the facilities are also fantastic. It’s a fancy bathroom even for Japanese standards.

Oh, and did I mention that it cost maybe 2/3 of what it would in NYC? I’m just sorry I’m leaving Japan soon and can’t make this my regular salon!
