45Had a health check up here, was very thorough then at the end when I spoke to the Dr expecting results he was very short and vague in his answers, seemed to want me out the room and couldn't careless for my questions. I was then told my results would take 5weeks. The results were simply sent to me, some sound rather ominous, but they don't offer a consultation to take you through the results. This is the first time I have attended the clinic for a health check but the 15th yearly health check I have done in Japan and is frankly the worst experience I have had. It cost about 1500 dollars for their services and I would have expected better treatment by the Dr.
Not sure about the negative reviews. Service was quick, explanation kne English was great and I found out a I had a serious knee issue. So I recommend orthopaedics.
I went here for my annual health check (required by Japanese companies). As there are not a lot of English options for this kind of check in Tokyo, I was very impressed that all nurses and doctors spoke enough English that there was no confusion. Check went quickly and all documents were provided in English. They are slightly more expensive than most health checks, but you get what you pay for. Would recommend this clinic to anyone who needs a health check and wants all of their results in English.
Without doubt the worst GP experience I have had consistently. Never have an answer for issues constantly tell you to consult a specialist for even the most minor of issues and charge a fortune. Only good for collecting a prescription if you need to.
The last time I went there was a couple of years ago. When they took my blood, I suddenly felt unwell. I asked the nurse (multiple times) to please stop, but she did not listen and continued. She was very dismissive and kept saying, "just one more! " (She then took at least 3 more vials of blood.)
When I got up, I passed out and hit my head. They helped me recover afterwards, but I would have preferred it if they had just listened to me in the first place.
I went to Tokyo Midtown Clinic today (one of the recommendations from the post on TEN) and I had a blood test, urine test and they also did an x-ray there. All went smoothly, except for the lady who did my x-ray, she was very cold and didn't bother telling me that I can stop clinging onto the rails. All the staff were nice, attentive and helpful except her (I wanted to give only 4 stars because of her treatment but the clinic as a whole deserves more than that). After that, I had a consultation with the doctor where I find out that I'm perfectly healthy. Though she doesn't speak English but she asked so many question and really curious about what's happening with me, the interpreter was also equally amazing at her job. She told me that the reason why my poop is watery is because of the medications that were prescribed to me by the doctor from Nishiazabu International Clinic. This quite upsets me because this means that the doctor in Hiroo made a mistake in his diagnosis of my condition. Also the doctor from Tokyo Midtown Clinic even said that you cannot diagnose if something is wrong with your colon with just an ultrasound so whatever the doctor from the Nishiazabu International Clinic told me didn't have any basis. And because his English (Nishiazabu International Clinic doctor) is limited, when he told me that my colon is "severe" (this is his exact words) while looking at my ultrasound result and that I have a strange movement of my colon-all these mean nothing. I highly recommend Tokyo Midtown Clinic.
検診の変更の電話をしても午後2時台なのに、20分以上もつながらない。高い料金を取っておきながらこのカスタマーサービスは酷すぎる。
ここまで電話つながらないクリニックは初めて。
酷すぎる
I would not recommend this clinic for outpatient. My boyfriend and I spent more than 5 hours in this clinic for simple cold symptoms. Everything is too complicated: - (
If you have huge useless money and time, I recommend you to visit here!
Be careful! If you have bad condition just go to other clinics.
Watch for the temporary doctors.
First visit was absolutely faultless, excellent doctor and all round excellent service. This time was not!
The name on the door was the usual doctor, but inside was a younger doctor who didn't listen, tried to prescribe meds I had already and was pretty useless. English was good but.he has a long long way to go to match his nurse and the rest of the Midtown Team.
They told me to come on a walk-in basis, when I came they told me I have to wait 2 hours to see my doctor. As this was not suitable for me, I asked when to come on a non-busy day, they said they don't know, but offered me to make an appointment for 5400 JPY.
I don't understand the idea of paying money for something like that.
I’ve never visited for anything complicated, but it’s relatively quick and I’ve always been satisfied. Dr. Akagi is good.
先生の対応は良く満足ですが、待ち時間が長く予約をしても時間通りに診察される事はありません。
予約時間から大幅に遅れる場合でも、途中で説明される事も無く、放置されます…
部署間の連携は無いのでしょうね。
Awful place. Behind the fancy exterior are incompetent doctors with dysfunctional processes that keep you waiting unnecessary long times.
I feel like a lot of people leaving reviews here do not go to Japanese medical facilities often, this clinic actually provided one of the better experiences I have had in Japan in 11 years, the doctor who saw me did explain me everything about the medications, checkups such as MRI or CT can be done right away take 15 minutes meanwhile in any large hospital they'd make you wait 2-3 weeks, the waiting lines are also much shorter than in many clinics and hospitals. This isn't a medical university hospital though so only go here if you have common problems, otherwise the doctors may not be able to help you but they will refer you somewhere if needed. I must mention though that I spoke Japanese to doctors there, if you only speak English there probably will be misunderstandings.
