We walked by this cute litt shop. Beautiful antiques and very kind people working in the shop. Absolutely worth a stop!
For me the best antiques store in Tokyo. A visit at Dentsdelion is like visiting a museum on Japanese art and culture, having the whole museum for yourself and learning about each piece, its history and making from the head of the museum in a 1: 1 guided tour. Whatever you want to know, the proprietor Yvan will be able to answer your questions.
Despite of the experience itself, I bought two very nice and precious pieces that will accompany me for the rest of my life.
An excellent and diverse selection of high quality antiques etc.at eminently fair prices. Beautifully displayed. Owner Yvan is worth the trip alone for his warm manner, substantive knowledge and wonderful stories. I made several purchases of unique objects - but could have stayed there for hours more.
I went there the first time to look for a birthday present for a friend. I honestly had some apprehension regarding the price of authentic Japanese antics but the owners kindly guided me to a set of signed sake cups in the original wooden box for a very reasonable price. I went back later on for additional presents, the shop has a wide range of wonderful items and warm and knowledgeable owners will patiently guide you and explain the background of various antics. Definitely going back later to add authentic Japanese atmosphere to my apartment.
A little gem of a shop tucked away between akihabara and Ueno, featuring a collection of fine Japanese antiques carefully curated by Yvan Trousselle and his wife. Prices are amazingly very reasonable. It specialises in prints and paintings, Japanese screens, lacquerware, porcelain and carved wooden figures.
Nice little antique shop with fair prices. It's owned by a really nice couple who have found a great collection of items. Would recommend!
Amazing shop not far from Akihabara. We went looking for some unique antiques like figures, ceramics, woodblock prints and masks. This store has it all and so much more to be explored! The owners are fantastic and knowledgeable about all the pieces. You must come here if you want something special from your trip to Tokyo. Highly recommended.
Amazing antique store in Tokyo, probably the most interesting in small objects such as bronze, bouddhas, statuette, etc as well as pieces of furniture, ceramics Imari. And the owner knows the story of each piece ant put it into its historic context. Great store! Thanks
(I founded a beautiful engraved singing bowl!)
Dentsdelion Antiques is outstanding! Do not miss this excellent treasure trove of highest quality Japanese antiques. We always shop here on all our visits to Tokyo. Dentsdelion is always on our itinerary!
I first visited Dentsdelion in 2013, when we were living in Tokyo. Since then I keep coming back, also after our return to the Netherlands. The shop is a treasure trove, if you are interested in Japanese art and antiques. Besides, the owner, Yvan, is a connoisseur of Imari porcelain. What is also important, he and his wife are a very nice couple. With their help we have built up a small collection of Japanese antiques and artefacts, from tansu (chest) to Imari porcelain, from bronze statues to lacquerware, like suzuribako (writing box) or inro (small medicine box), from kakejiku (hanging scroll) to gurasu-e (reverse glass painting), and from koro (incense burner) to kago (bamboo basket). But they have even more! A visit to the website offers each time new artefacts.
Warmly recommended!
