Very exciting show. I've seen many ballet performances and ABC left me very impressed. This young troupe of innovative risk takers staged a remarkable show with obviously fresh inspiration.

The ABC Tokyo Ballet Company is an established and well-known ballet studio and dance company in Tokyo. Founders Chris Martinu and his wife Rio Mitani are passionate about their love of dance and about sharing this love with young and not-so-young alike. Their enthusiasm for ballet has taken them from Vienna to Tokyo where they now are firmly “at home”. Their new ballet studio near Tokyo Tower is a beautiful new space that will meet the needs of their school. They hold performances not only at Tokyo Union Church (where they are the ballet company in residence!) but at other venues in Tokyo. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking into ballet schools for their children.

クオリティが高いです。特に「鶴の恩返し」や「メサイヤ」が素晴らしい。
何人も海外のバレエ団にダンサーを輩出している傍ら、都市再開発による三田スタジオからの引越しやその他、大変な事もあったようですが、引き続きこれからも頑張ってほしいです。

ABC-Tokyo is an incredible ballet company with great choreography in their ballets and beautiful ballet technique. The first time I saw one of their major works, Messiah, I was spellbound by the capacity of ballet to portray such a deep story with such authenticity and passion. There was an artistic sensitivity in their approach which touches many lives including both students and the audience.

I have seen this team dancing in Singapore and is indeed an eye opening for me.very professional and very creative. If I am staying in Tokyo I
would enroll my children in this school.

すばらしいパフォーマンス、技術も高く多くのダンサーがヨーロッパに留学スカラシップを得るほどなのだが、クリスチャンのストーリーから日本のお伽話まで、ストーリーをダンスで表現する表現力がなんともすごい。イエス・キリストと世の始まりから終わりまでを表現した「メサイア」は、バレエでここまで表現できるのか、というほど聖書を深く掘り下げ、それぞれの感情表現や心の対決まで、観ている者に激しく伝わってきて心が動かされる。演目もダンサーも常に進化しているから、二度観るとまた新しい発見がある。
演目中ではバレエをベースにして、突然ジャズダンスやサルサなど、まったく違うダンスも出てきて、それによってストーリーやシーンを見事に表現していたりして、ダンサーたちは若いのに、懐がすごく深く、変化に富んでいる。
ときに悪役の表現がすごすぎて、そちらを気に入ってしまう事もよくある。
ストーリーを音楽とバレエ、ダンスで表現するから、いろいろな言語や国の人と一緒に楽しめる。ただバレエパフォーマンスのみではなく、ただ観て楽しんで終わりのストーリーではなく、心に残るものがある。ぜひとも観てほしい。

The ABC Tokyo Ballet Company is a dance company managed by Chris Martinu and his wife Rio Mitani. In these years with dedication and constant commitment, they have given the possibility to many of their students, not only to gain experience on stage, but also to make them real professional dancers, to whom scholarships have been given abroad or who works in high level dance companies in Europe. Certainly, through the love and passion of both of them for this job, it makes their school become a wonderful bridge from which to create and grow future professional dancers. At the same time it’s an excellent school where you can have your own training if you are already professional dancer, as the level of the lesson is remarkable. Absolutely recommended!

The journey of becoming a dancer is more than learning a series of steps. It is a graceful choreography of lives well lived and expressing that creative passion and discipline onstage and in the real world. This rare balance dedicated to a lifetime of service in the arts is found in the partnership of Rio and Christian at ABC-Tokyo.

A superb dance company that consistently turns out great ballerinas. The founders are a wonderful, compassionate and caring couple who will provide excellent teaching. Highly recommended.

私は音楽家なので、音楽とバレエの関係に特に興味がある。コレオグラファーとしての三谷Rio氏の音楽の選び方と、振り付けは他に例を見ない厳選された格調高い作品ばかりであり、そして長年鍛えられたダンサーたちも驚くばかりにレヴェルの高い踊りを見せてくれる。既存のバレエ作品のみにとどまっていない、バレエの歴史を創って行っている類まれな芸術家によるバレエ団だと思う。芸術の担う役割はただの発表会レヴェルではなく、思想や時代の諸問題への定義なども担うべきだと私は思うが、ABCバレエ団はそれができる高いレヴェルを持つリーダーや仲間によって率いられているユニークなバレエ団である。三谷氏は個人個人の体型や素質が生きる様な作品づくりもする、先生な芸術家達の心のケアもおざなりにしない。

The School trains young, mostly Japanese students to the professional ballet dancer level, providing life coaching and mentoring as well as lessons and finding them frequent opportunities to perform before live audiences. I am constantly amazed at how professional their performances are for their age. In addition the school and its directors are like a family for the students which, I'm sure, adds to the students' confidence and maturity.

表現力豊かなダンサーたちによる、個性的音楽のチョイスと振り付けで、どんどん舞台に吸い込まれていく。いろいろな文化や思想が、一つ一つの動きの背景に感じられ、見るたびに満足感を覚えられる、見応えのあるバレエステージを楽しませてくれる。
