I got a tattoo today with Horisoh. At first I was a little sketched out because his shop is in an apartment building (I think many Americans will be apprehensive when they learn that) but when I arrived he came downstairs to get me and was very friendly. He took me upstairs where he has all of his own clean equipment. He was very careful to ensure we both understood exactly which tattoo I wanted and what I expected it to look like. The tattoo looks great and was very reasonably priced. Will definitely come back! Thank you Horisoh!

Anyone looking for a tattoo in Tokyo should go here. The artists work is excellent and he really does take the time to talk to you about the tattoo and ensure that you are getting the correct design. I had a small neck tattoo and the work was excellent. I would highly recommend this artist to locals and especially to anyone visiting Tokyo looking to get a tattoo!

This was my first tattoo ever and I couldn't be happier with who I got it done with. Horisoh took the time to discuss and draw up the perfect tattoo for me and talked me through all the implications I needed to know about. We traveled to Japan about 3, maybe 4 weeks ago now. A couple of the girls in our group mentioned they would like to get a tattoo done as a memento of their time in your lovely country. I hadn't put much thought into it as I was unsure of what I wanted to get done. The same day we went to check out the Skytree tower, one of the girls said that she had been in contact with him and that he would see what he could do to accommodate us. That's when I mentioned to them that I would want to get a tattoo as well. She relayed this to him as well and a little later in the day we received confirmation that we could come by and get tattooed.

We made our way down to his studio and he met us outside and took us up. Super friendly from the get go. Talked to each of us and helped us finalize our designs. Offering suggestions here and there. He was very thorough, clean, and knowledgeable. Also, incredibly talented too I might add, as I receive nothing but compliments about the quality of the line work. I also learned the japanese name for Magikarp is Koiking. This was my first tattoo and I can't wait to go back to Japan/Tokyo in a few years to get it coloured in as well as add another tattoo to the collection. Thanks again for the wonderful tattoo!

Horisoh is wonderful! I decided to get a tattoo relatively last minute & he responded first out of all the places I contacted. We communicated via LINE & that was very simple. I gave him my idea, & because it was so small he threw in an extra design for free (both about ¥500 coin size, lines only)! That was amazing & so kind of him. I happened to have my appointment the day after Typhoon Hagibis, so we had to reschedule, but he was so accommodating & helpful in doing so. His place is easy to find & full of beautiful sketches & work he's done in the past. (He has been tattooing for about 11-12 years!) Everything was quick & easy & I highly recommend Horisoh.

I am so impressed with Horisoh’s drawings and professionalism. This is a man who puts his full heart into his artwork, he was straight up and honest since the very beginning telling me that white may not stay because of my skin tone. But the white stayed and the tattoo looks like it did when I first left his studio. Speaks very good English and willing to sit with you for hours to make sure this is the tattoo you want, and will do any tweaking on his own time. I have more than 8 tattoo pieces but the one I got from Horisoh is my absolute favourite! If I could give 10 stars I would, thank you so much for the tattoo I know if my brother were still here he would love it just as much as I do. For anyone going to Tokyo and looking to get a tattoo, look no further! He will get you what you want and for a very reasonable price! This is my second time coming to Horisoh for some ink work. He was very accomodating both times and was extremely helpful in providing guidance and tips on design/placement. I'm from NY so english was a requirement. Horisoh is well spoken and we were able to communicate fine. He responds very quickly as well. Would recommend anyone in the area to consider going to Horisoh to get work done!

It was so easy setting up an appointment with Horisoh. He was able to squeeze me in for the next day. He is a very nice guy that has no problem explaining and talking through maintenance and designs. His utensils are single use and sterilized. This was an amazing experience for my first tattoo and the next time I am in Japan, I will make sure to see him again! Thank you Horisoh!

Bad experience. Not happy with the drawings even after giving several examples. He ended up quitting on me and decided he couldn’t do the work saying that he was doing me a favor by refunding my money and not stealing it. Wow should I thank you for not being a thief? What a joke.

Came from australia to get a tattoo from him. He is very professional and his work is fantastic. Im super happy with the tattoo and hope to get more from him in the future
