I’ve been here twice and really like the food, but the service and environment are just too bad for me to recommend it.

The seating is cramped forcing us to climb over other people’s tables and chairs to use the toilet or go to the bar.

We thought it was a bar, but there are children everywhere running and playing between the tables. Making it more uncomfortable to have a drink or a smoke outside at the smoking spot.

The waiters don’t write anything down (which is fine) but then get orders wrong.

Overall just a very confusing place to eat at. Seemed like everyone there knew each other, but were a little TOO comfortable and familiar.
Made it feel like eating at a strangers family gathering. Not for everyone.

The food is good, but it’s dragged down by a really weird environment. Definitely only recommend getting take-out or having a short dinner.

It had been a while since our last visit and it was good to be back. The ribs were great - as usual! Corn bread and mac n cheese were good as well. Washed down with some Gigantic Hold Tight IPA - fruity and very satisfying!

The ribs here are really great! Just make sure to book, because the ribs run out very quickly. Other dishes and sides are also great tho, so you can't go wrong with this place.

Small, intimate space so calling ahead is recommended. This is some classic Southern pit-smoked barbecue, specializing in ribs & pulled pork. Local beers from all over Japan can be enjoyed too! If you're looking for Authentic US-style barbecue, you'll not find a better deal than here.

The ribs and cornbread lack flavor, unfortunately.

This is a very nice ribs joints with friendly staff, good quality BBQ, and a unique selection of craft beer. People from all over the world come to this place quite often, and it’s also good for practicing casual Japanese. Just make sure you make a reservation before going, vaciase the place is small and it fills up very fast.

Hatos Bar probably serves some of the best ribs, pork belly and pulled pork in Tokyo. I don't come here often but I'm always satisfied when I do. They also have a good selection of drinks.

小さいし予約も取りづらいので、本当は誰にも教えたくないくらい大好き。
ビールは美味しいし、スペアリブも他の食べ物も最高に美味しい…
スペアリブは数に限りがあるので、予約時にキープすることをオススメします！
そしてスタッフがみんなフレンドリーで、さらに色んな面白い人に会えて、沢山の楽しい時間を過ごしました。
思い出したらすごく行きたくなってきた。
また近いうちに行きますー。

Recommend to get the ribs, for which you need to reserve at least 24 hours in advance. The beer is also legit and the sides are generous, by which I mean portions are American-size.

Decent place to scratch that barbecue itch.

An absolute gem I can proudly recommend to someone looking for great food and vibes!

Like the vibe more than the food tbh. We ordered chilli fries and a half rack. Despite all the hype and good reviews, I personally like smokehouse better for the flavor of the ribs. Curious to come back and try their pulled pork sandwich and beer (whenever things open up again) though!

Not a wide variety of meats and the ribs and sausage were sold out. We did get the pork belly which was perfect. We will have to come back again to try the ribs.

That more than delicious rack of ribs, together with the pulled pork and really hot Chili leaves no choice, will be back with a bunch of friends very soon. Simply breathtakingly tasty.

Delicious food, friendly owners, huge drink menu, great atmosphere! The homemade ranch was wonderful and a rare find in Japan. I loved the pulled pork sandwich, especially the bun carefully toasted in butter in a cast iron pan. The meat was very moist and flavorful. We definitely want to come back for dinner to try the ribs and key lime pie!

Hatos is well-loved for their ribs and pork belly (and well-deserved). The bartender also makes an excellent Gin & Tonic if you request the Monkey 47 gin.

Decent food. Bad service, even by American standards. Had to ask for the check multiple times. Go to smokehouse in Jingumae for better prices, portions and service.

Food is amazing. Pulled pork sandwiches, pork belly, ribs served on a bed of fries.

You must go here and see for yourself.

1. They got my name wrong despite me trying to spell it out multiple times
2. They got the time wrong multiple times
3. They got the number wrong despite me repeating it several times
4. They then handed me off to another person who repeated steps 1-3
5. That person then hung up on me and blocked me
