ICHI TATTOO TOKYO

I had my first ever tattoo in 2016 when I travelled for the first time to Japan. I wanted to leave with a souvenir, found Ichi Tattoo, he is the best artist ever, I was terrified from feeling pain and I was amazed I didnt feel anything.

I was able to reserve an appointment within the month and price is affordable! Ichi and Laura were very kind and walked me through the entire process from finishing touches to aftercare. The quality is absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to foreigners and locals alike! I will come back for my next tattoo before I leave Japan!:)

But I was not the most satisfied with my tattoo and the artist didn't seem too keen on making the changes claiming it was '' Just lines ''
They don't offer to show you how they designed your tattoo before you physically show up to get it. Which can be a little risky (especially after having already paid more than half of the price as the deposit).

I understand that each artist's style is different.but I just wish I could have had an idea of what it looked like before actually going there and could have avoided having to express my slight dissatisfaction with the design on the spot. The artist also didn't let me look at it after it was done. He just wrapped it up right away and nicely asked me to leave.

I definitely would have changed spots or asked for more changes had I had the chance to see it before hand. The artist made me feel a little uncomfortable to ask for more changes. So I went with it. It's not BAD, it's just not satisfactory.

I AM paying for the services and no one wants something they aren't satisfied with tattooed on their body.

Great work by Ichi San. He is very informative and transparent about the artwork. A true artist.

I just went to Ichi for my first ever tattoo at age 35. He and the staff at Ichi Tattoo made my experience super easy and fun. They’re so welcoming and helpful. The studio is great and their portfolio is incredible. You can also tell that they take great care with cleanliness and safety.

They walked me through it and helped me figure out the design, and it turned out absolutely perfect. They’re also cool, interesting people. A+ experience.

未経験者なのでいろいろ案内したりデザイン手伝いしたりしてくれた。結果は想像以上に気に入る。そして面白くていいピープルなので、絶対におすすめする。

My husband and I came here in 2018 and Ichi did a maneki neko on the inside of my arm. He’s amazing. English is great and very communicative before the services. I couldn’t recommend him more!

I’ve made several tattoos but there’s no artist like Ichi San, he has the lightest hand and the best equipment. His freehand drawings are awesome!
Highly recommended in Japan. His assistant Vanessa helps the foreigners a lot but Ichi San speaks good english as well. I love the tattoo I have from Ichi Tattoo!

They answer you quickly and keep in touch, but once they understand your request, they ask you to pay 10.000 yen without any previous date or showing any design or sketch, once you ask for it, they say it is not possible. No thank you.

Alan was great, amazing art work. Tattoos are okay to tip for in Japan! Which is worth knowing as most places don't like them. Super nice guy and speaks English really well.

At first look, place seemed strange and sketchy from the outside but the inside is nice. All fresh equipment opened in front of you, so definitely sanitary and even reccomend which creme to get. Expected to be there 2.5 hours, ended up ~4.5 but well worth it. If you're looking for a tattoo while in Tokyo, take the time to email with them, it's worth it

Went there a few days ago for my first tattoo, all the staff is very professional, talented and friendly, Anna did a beautiful design and an incredible job, I love my new tattoo and I'm very happy with the experience, muchas gracias!

Ichi San did a fantastic job of what I requested, a very talented artist. Clean and professional set up, will definitely come back if I am to get tattooed again in Tokyo.

Did my first tattoo there today by Ichi Hatano-san. Great and professional. Straight and precise lines. They all speak English very well and explain how to take care of the tattoo afterwards.
All my friends said it would take around 2h to make. But it was done in 45 minutes!

I've experienced many tattooists and many studios in my 14 years of getting tattoos, I've probably had close to 100 hours of work done over those years so I'm not new to this. With all that said, ICHI TATTOO TOKYO is by far one of the best studios I've ever been to. Much different to the open plan studios I'm used to in the UK, ICHI is a studio in an apartment in a quiet part of Tokyo. Tattoos are done in private rooms, with curtains closing off any visibility. It's got a nice, quiet and calm atmosphere so anyone going for their first tattoo should immediately feel at ease, especially with how warm, friendly and welcoming everyone in the studio is. Spotlessly clean, very professional and with multiple highly talented guest artists, ICHI is 100% worth your time. I will certainly return for more work in the future, thank you so much for the amazing work.

Went there yesterday for my first tattoo. I must say, I am very impressed. This place is very professional, it's clean, very well managed and the people working there are very friendly.
I was a bit nervous, first tattoo, but the very nice tattooist made me feel relaxed and explained everything very well to me.
We talked most of the time abut movies, especially Marvel and I was surprised how fast the time went. It took about 1 hour.
I think I will go back there for my second tattoo quite soon.

I got a matching tattoo with my mother and everything went perfectly. The tattoo turned out amazing. Even tough it was pretty much last minute (we got an appointment 2 days before), the communication went smoothly, their english was perfect so the idea that we had in mind was understood! They helped us with choosing the right placement.
I can really recommend this studio, the price is also reasonable!

Although it may be a little difficult to find, it's still a great place with professional artist and really nice staff, I'd recommend coming here if you can.
