KAI Japanese Language School 件の口コミ
8 Went there personally mid July, fixed all details, sent the application, all the documents and even the payment in time. A day later I was told that it was too late, I cannot attend class and they are going to send back my payment, but with deduction of fees! Never experienced anything like that, and I have quite some experience with language schools.
Edit: They reacted after a mail and give me an opportunity to talk again with them. Let's see where this is going to lead to.
Edit2: Went there (annex bldg) for 4 weeks language school and the teachers were really nice and caring. The study material is ok, but not perfect, the structure is a bit confusing. Usually most of the students are mainly European (Germany, Sweden mostly).
The school integrated the use of technology such as iPad for the general courses. Classes can be intensive but the teachers and staff are always ready to help. The students studying there come from many different countries and so it’s a good place to make friends with people of diverse age and backgrounds.
I had fun doing their beginner classes back in 2005. I worked my way up to medium conversation level. Mostly good teachers and fun lessons at Kai Nihongo Gakko.
I am one of the students whose trip to Japan was delayed due to the Pandemic. In the meantime, I have received so much assistance from the School regardless of questions asked, or problems that come up. The staff is so kind and helpful, They respond in a timely manner and are very professional. I feel very grateful to have the opportunity to learn Japanese at Kai Japanese Language School. I have finished the Level 1 course online, and I am currently a student in the Level 2 course. Not only have I learned a lot but I've come to really enjoy working with my teachers as well as the students and the staff at this school. I can't wait to meet everyone and thank them for their help and kindness when I am in Japan!
Teachers and staff were always so nice to me and the important thing: easy and quick learning methods.totally worth it!
Friendly and competent staff. A huge thank you to Ms. Kagawa, who helped my a lot and left me a very convicing impression about the school. Would definetley recommand for any Japanese learners.
Not sure I should submit this review because I went there such a long time ago. However, I was pretty favorably impressed at the time, and what impresses me now is simply that the school is still around after all these years. I took a sort of summer intensive course that was a kind of mix of audio-lingual techniques with direct method. I did read a number of the reviews and mostly agreed with them, except that I didn't see much teaching staff turnover during that period (but it was a short intensive course, after all). As regards the comments about the quality of the teachers. Well, duh. However there are a bunch of things that affect getting and retaining good teachers, and even at a good school you may get a lemon. (However my main experience in that category was over near Yotsuya Station.)
I went to KAI for several levels and I would not recommend the school.
The school has teachers constantly leaving and joining. Your experience at the school will depend a lot on if your teacher is good or not and since they constantly get new teachers you are never guaranteed a good education.
The curriculum starts out great in the beginner levels, as you advance to higher levels it gets progressively worse. You will not get any help if you struggle, the school will simply tell you that its your own fault and you should simply do better. This is even worse if you have a bad teacher, as they will simply tell you to "do your best" with a smile without actually attempting to help you.
A lot of people recommend this school because many westerners go here which makes it easy to make friends, and many are just happy to get a chance to live in japan even if they fail repeatedly through no fault of their own. The school dont care as long as you pay them.
In short, I recommend the first two beginner levels as they teach you the basics in a very good way. If you simply want to experience japan this school is probably good for you. If you want a serious education where you actually learn japanese properly, look for another school.
