Tokyo Ryokan in Asakusa

We loved staying in Kenichi's ryokan, it's a mix with traditional and modern ryokan, it's really beautiful and cosy.

Our host, Kenichi, is amazing and was so helpful with our travel, he gave us many recommendations either for place to visit or how to travel between each cities. It was really a pleasure to meet him, we would have loved to stay more.

I recommend with no doubt!

By far my favourite Ryokan in Japan. The owners are lovely, sooo helpful, by all means ask them anything and they will make your trip x10 better. The rooms are cozy, very traditional, next to a temple that can be seen from the windows, in the middle of Asakusa but still very quiet. Lots of old, traditional restaurants around as well. Totally recommended.

It is hard to add to what has already been said by other travelers, but, here goes: Kenichi and Fusako provide a warm and welcoming place to land in the city, in a super neighborhood, near Sensō-ji Temple complex, surrounded by any/all types of food, 5-minute walk from Tawaramachi Station, 11-minute walk to Ueno Station and Park. Traditional Japanese room arrangements with shared bath. Simple and peaceful — almost like a temple guesthouse stay. Ken is a wealth of very dialed-in history/culture/travel/food information, so, if you’re new to Japan or would like a different take on travel in the city and country, then, you are in good hands.

Perfect place in Tokyo, rooms are clean and nice.
