Wakalture Experience - Japanese Calligraphy and Cooking

We did the Udon Cooking Class with Tamagoyaki. It was wonderful. Wakana was so friendly and helpful. She had sheets printed out for us to take so we wouldn't forget the recipe. She gave us tips while we made things to make sure we had good results. We felt very welcome. The time flew by, and we learned two new recipes that we've made several times since we are back. I'm so glad we went to Wakana instead of some of the other places I was researching. It felt like a family friend teaching you a secret recipe more than a class where you have stations and the teacher reads out instructions. I really feel like we got the best experience possible here. Thank you so much for hosting us:)

We had the calligraphy session with Wakana. She was amazing, very professional, patient and extremely nice. We learned a lot about Japanese writing, and the art of calligraphy. We highly recommend this activity if you are in Tokyo.

Wakalture Experience was so much fun! I did the udon and calligraphy classes, but Wakana has several options. It was even better because I got to do a one-on-one class with her. She is sweet, kind, funny, and knowledgeable, and she keeps the class traditional. I highly recommend!

Wakana is a great teacher with passion for Japanese calligraphy. We had a great time with her learning calligraphy and origami. She was so informative, pleasant and patient, especially with our 6 year old son. Would highly recommend her to anyone who is interested in learning Japanese culture.

Wakana was just fantastic. Wonderful teacher. She has been doing calligraphy for 24 years and is an accredited teacher. She has won awards for her work. Many others teachers in the area are not accredited and rely on foreigners not knowing. I can recommend her without hesitation. Do the course. It sparked an interest I never thought I had. Loved it.

A must experience in Japan! Wakana is very nice girl and professional calligraphy teacher (the bly one certificated). She was so kind to find a time slot for me at my last day in Tokyo and I am very happy to have her as a teacher. I tell all my friends about her, saying that they must visit Japan to have a class with her! Can't wait to come back!

I was really happy we took time to go to Wakalture. Wakana is a super talented certified calligrapher, and so nice!
We took the beginners class, and she showed us what to do, while explaining about the calligraphy itself. I enjoyed this a lot and would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about it!
She really knows what she is doing, with 20 years of experience within this craft. I felt privileged to get to see her work, and it was pretty special for me personally. Recommended!
