An authentic bar with delicious British food and Beer. Staff can speak English and also menu is in English. Many foreigners visit this place and on many events there is live music.

I've been drinking, dancing, and being schooled on how to be a proper gentleman here for over 18 years.

Delicious food and a decent selection of beers. The live music was good but it was just impossible to have a conversation due to the volume. A lot of English speakers here to. The crowd were to bit older maybe 40+. Overall good experience and a great place to go if you’re want the closest thing to a legit UK pub experience.

友人のイギリス人の誘いで行きました。カウンターにいる女性って、ちょっとね～って感じでした。外国人客にはイイ顔するけど、それ以外の客には？って感じで。
俺的にはライブバンドは必要無くて、話をしたい人は避けるべきですね。
１杯飲んだら、行きつけの新宿のbarに向かい、そこでリセットしました。

Love this place, the music is great and their meat pie is outstanding. Been here countless times, also their beer selection is spot on, I hope they still have the spitfire pint.

What the Dickens! Is a fantastic neighborhood pub in Ebisu. With the friendly owners and brittish/UK inspired decor I always feel instantly at home. It's a great place to grab a quick pint or stay longer and enjoy the fish and chips or chicken pie. Depending on the night, you might even catch some live music or a performance by the Pirates of Tokyo Bay improv group.

This is the best English pub that I have found in Tokyo. Normally they have live music every day of the week and the performers are good. They have a fine selection of English dishes and an imaginative variety of beers, wines and spirits.

As of posting they are taking no safety measures for covid-19. Please don't go until it is safe.

外国人も多く来るお店です。
定期的にハードロック系のバンド演奏 (エアロスミスのカバーなど) を見ることもできる楽しい場所です。
いつぞや初対面のオーストリア人におごっていただいたビールは今でも忘れません。
何年も行ってないので、久々に行きたいです。

大きな鉄の扉をえいやっと開けると現れる巨大空間はアイリッシュパブ。
フィッシュアンドチップスでギネスビールをいただく。お客は外国人が半分以上。ブリティッシュロックがガンガンかかり、頻繁にライブもやっていてとても賑やかで楽しい。
若いころはよく通ったものだ。懐かしくなったのでコロナが落ち着いたらまた行きたい。

Great live music venue, almost never a cover charge. Been around for many years that's hope it's around for many more.

色んな国の人が集まるここWhat the Dickens! 。アーティストやミュージシャンのライブがBGM。飛び入りで歌う人、演奏する人も。バーなので手軽に飲め、様々な文化に触れることが出来るこの場所はコロナの中でも頑張って応援していきたい！

The best British Pub in town. Huge drink selection. Big stage, Live music, friendly regulars and visitors alike mix in. The food is awesome and great value. Pies, pizzas, vege options. Prices haven't changed for years as owners want to keep the popular vibe and community feel. No smoking policy now in place (you can smoke upstairs if you really need a fix) which makes a huge improvement.

I appreciate the authentic feel of a British pub, even the nastiness of the fish n chips was appropriate for the occasion and was very reminiscent of proper London pub. Sometimes we all need this. However, the reason for low score and why I am not going back there is that I saw a baby cockroach crawling across my table.in the middle of January! This suggests that there is a severe infestation problem that hasn't been dealt with. I can't even imagine what's going on in the kitchen. I appreciate the tired look, but I reckon they make enough revenue from 1000 yen pints to allocate a bit of budget for brining the hygiene level up to Tokyo standards.

Great looking bar in a high-rise complex. Would've loved to go more than the once, but they close on a Monday. We managed only one night, briefly, but could see it would make a great venue.

皆さん書かれているとおり、店員さんも客層も西洋人メインです。とは言え、もちろん日本人が行っても温かく迎えてくれます。
さっきまで英語で話していた店員さんが急に日本語で対応してくれるので、どちらで話せば良いのか一瞬迷う自分が楽しめます。

What the Dickens! Is amazing place filled with good people. John is such an awesome person and the rest of the staff were amazing too! Can't say enough good things about this place! Cheers!

Pretty good British pub which showcases live bands. It can get pretty noisy in there and to be honest I heard some bands which were pretty bad too but everybody is enjoying their time. They have an Ok food selection for a British pub (do they have a minced meat pie? I think they do). It is best Enjoyed when you feel fancy with the Matea and not want to go to Hub, so you up your game and go to fancy Ebisu

Als Ausländer in tokyo trifft man hier sehr viele englisch sprachige Einwohner und Besucher. Die Unterhaltung ist gut, aber das Bier recht teuer. Dafür hat man eine große Auswahl an internationalen Bieren.

Bei meinem Besuch waren die Menschen sehr gesprächig und offen. Guter Ort um Anschluss zu anderen zu finden die das nachtleben in tokyo genießen wollen.

The vibe was 40+, lots of non-Japanese and 70s/80s music, too loud to talk (so so live band) and expensive drinks. Totally cool if that's yer thing but wasn't mine
