Why I marked less stars:
Apparently in some book in the room is written that late check out is charged extra 1500 yen (he just put this number on the bill by hand, not sure if it depends on time). We were finished packing and ready to leave at 10.25am. So for being 25min late they charged us! Despite knowing it's a special day for me and despite they did neither tell us about extra charge beforehand nor call us in the morning.that was just a little money compared to the whole 3 days fee, but still didn't feel very welcoming so we will try another place next time.

Location:
The location is nice, Ski in Ski out very nice.
Zao is amazing, however from this place you need to take some lifts to get to the snow monkeys (to get over, most important is gondola up, then head for lift 17 - at the gondola (50m down from petit resort). They offer maps with the lifts you need to take marked). A little up the house is the only 1-2m kicker I saw in the ski resort.

Facility:
- The little house looks very cute with all the wood, snow and light up.
- Heater room efficient, boots got dry overnight
- There is a cafe/bar attached and accessible from all the rooms. Breakfast was also served there. Nice decoration, incl some vinyl / LP area
- Onsen is nothing special, but since it is a private / family Onsen that can be booked in 30min slots by whiteboard we liked it.

Else:
- Breakfast was nice, some soup, salad, sausage, egg.nothing special though.
- Late arrival was no problem (midnight)
- Our checkout day was my birthday.so my girlfriend asked for a cake? So far so good, they also prepared some fruit cake but then just brought to the table without any further comment, music.candle on the cake was not lighted. For these small things I would hope to have a bit more lovely presentation.

スキー場の真横にあるホテルです。
ゲレンデを足で歩いて登るので、ホテルの入り口まで行くのに少し大変でした。
ただ、スキーをしたい人にとっては立地は最高だと思います。

あと、料理がとても美味しかったです！
ディナーのフレンチのコースは味はもちろん、雰囲気のある空間で素敵な時間を過ごせました。

ホテルの人も感じが良くて、また来たいなと思います！

The location is amazing, the chalet itself is lovely and really bring the "ski" vibes.the rooms are quite average tho, at least the one we had. The bath is kish, but you better get to the onsen around instead. Food is good but nothing incredible. We are a bit disappointed for the price we pay, let's say most on the price just go on the location

Once I waited for the snow to clear so I could see the premises from the ski school centre at the bottom of the slope, and then trekked up a snowy ski slope over 100m dragging luggage and found the hobbit-hole winter entrance, negotiated the steep step ladder into the boot room (still with luggage) discarded boots and donned slippers, lugged luggage up the stairs into the entry level and checked in, it was all good!

Very cute little hotel right on the ski slopes. The hosts are so kind and welcoming. The rooms are pretty basic. They speak English and have menus with English.

蔵王暦30年で初めて訪れました。そこで出会った焼きカレーはとても美味しいです。タバスコが入っているのかな？冷えた体を暖めてくれる一品です。美味しそうなケーキが並んでいたので今度訪れた時にでも。

Had a great time here, the family that owns the place is very attentive and will explain to you all kinds of stuff. Great access to the slope can't ask for more.

Great place for coffee or lunch break^^super cozy
We ended up coming here 3days in a row. Food is all delicious and staff is so helpful and kind.

Best Ski in and out place in Zao

Good location, directly on the slopes but rooms are small, not very clean and shared bathrooms are not enough.

Stayed 5 nights in Feburary. Great people who have been so helpful, even helping with transport and ski patrol first aid when I had a ski whoopsy. Location is great ski in/out but getting your luggage up to the hotel required a 40m dragging luggage up the ski run. I see others have commented on alternative approaches to get luggage to the place.
We had a 2 bed room with ensuite separate shower room and toilet room. All very comfy and enough space for our 4 large cases. Ducted water heaters that you can set as you like. Great views from the room in two directions but I think we were spoilt.
There are two shared bath quazi onsen if you didn't want to treck into the village onsen.
Good breakfast at 7: 30 and wow dinners at 6pm. An absolutely fantastic time here.
