Visited the place for a set course dinner for 4 people. These more homely, casual accommodations, often run by a family are called "Minshuku" and there are quite a few in Notojima Island. The grand sashimi platter on small boat is indeed a unique yet quite common in the local area, known as "Funamori", meaning the platter on boat. If you do like Sashimi, this is a must try. Dinner was filled with lots of seafood and other local delicacies - rock oysters, spring veggies, mushrooms, sea cucumbers, fish and fish and fish. The accommodation is nostalgic, local setting. People are very friendly.
