あうん堂

風味豊かなコーヒーや温かなココア、手作りのケーキや、カリッとホカホカのマドレーヌも美味しい。
本と共に静かな時間と、店主さんがたとの会話も佳き！本棚の細長い空間も、包まれるようで好きです。

休日の雨の日に伺いました。

到着した30分くらいは、お客は私達だけでとても静かで読書に良いところだなという印象。
しかしその後店主さんの知り合いの方が3人ほど来られて、話し始めた為まったく集中できず残念な印象。

タイミングが悪かったのでしょうが、店主さんも一緒になって話されてたので小さなブックカフェで、他の客もいる訳だし少し気を使ってほしかったですね。

また、行きたいなとは思いますが同じような経験は二度としたくないですね。

本を読めないブックカフェって。。

しかし、期待を込めて星4つ。

たまたま、手に取った本に紅葉が挟まっていました。なんだか、素敵。

As the others have said, this café is a delightful little gem hidden away from the main street but definitely worth a visit. It is a local community hub and you definitely feel the warmth of the locals that you normally wouldn’t get to mingle with in the main tourist areas. I spent a while here resting my feet and reading my book, it was such a perfect place to rest. Highly recommend.

まず、東山で駐車場があるのは、とてもありがたいです。
二三味珈琲をいただきながら、書籍をゆっくり探したり、読んだり。
時間を気にせず寛げて、奥さんの気さくさもとても良かった。
また是非行きたいカフェ&本屋さんです。

ご夫婦で営まれている優しい空気の本屋さんです。
お父さんの眼差しが本当に暖かく、本への愛情を感じます。また、ディスプレイも本が痛まないように細やかな配慮が行き届いていて尊敬です。

沢山購入させて頂きましたが、県外発送も対応してくださいました。ありがとうございました。

友人に勧められ、「あうん堂」はココと記された東町住宅街の電柱を確認して入店。町家の造りをステキに生かしたカフェと古本棚のレイアウト。加賀棒茶を啜りながら気にいった本を手に取りいつまでも腰を落ち着けたくなるお店。トイレも必見です (^^)

This cafe/used-book-store is another hidden gem in the backstreet of Kanazawa. As far as books are concerned, the selection is limited. So don't go there for books. But you will enjoy peaceful, refreshing moments in this rather small space with a window and a few sparrows chatting there. They serve three flavors of coffee, roasted by different individuals, one of which is Nakagawa-Wani, a painter living in Tokyo. Two food items are available, chicken curry and pilaf. Iittala tableware (Finnish design) enhances the relaxing atmosphere of this cafe. After roaming through Higashi Chaya-gai for a few hours, it is definitely worth a visit, only if you can find it. By the way, A-Un originally refers to the first and the last of the Sanskrit alphabet. In this context, A-Un means the beginning and the end of the universe. In popular Japanese, a-un is used as in a-un breathing and a-un relationship, signifying that individual elements/persons are connected through harmonious, non-verbal communication.

Nice little reprieve from the bustle of the tea district just down the road. Hidden in a little suburban nook, run by a woman for whom the cafe and bookstore is both a home and business, frequented by others of the neighborhood who come to chat without ordering anything. Full of books and very large portions of chocolate cake.

本屋とカフェが一体になったお店。金沢東町の裏手にあり、喧噪を離れて本を読みながらコーヒーを飲みたくなったら、ここに駆け込みましょう。僕は雨宿りするために使いましたが、思わずいいお店を利用できてよかったです。
