金沢市立安江金箔工芸館

Came in 20mins prior to the opening with 2 kids on a hot day, asked if we can wait at the reception, after confirming with the first staff we sat on the bench waiting, then second staff came in "kindly" showed us the door and asked us to leave. Very welcoming.

きらびやかで見る価値はあるのですが、
金箔が出来るまでの行程が、歯抜けで意味不明です。
こういうのって、普通は番号順に全ての工程見せませんか？
駐車場がないのもあれですし

日本国内の金箔シェアが高い金沢。
そんな本場での金箔技術を知るべく、本館に訪問してきました。

金箔職人である安江氏による私財によって誕生した工芸館を一目見たく来たのですが、まさに金から金箔が誕生するまでの歴史を知ることができた。

文献や動画を全て見ると、余裕で１時間は過ぎていきます。
金箔がどうやって生まれたのか？なぜ金沢という地で生まれたのか？そんなルーツを知りたい方にはぜひ訪れて欲しいと思います。

The museum is knowledgeable and the staff very nice and friendly and willing to answer the questions asked. Worth to visit and shop.

I have seen golden ice cream and masks many times all over Japan, but only here I could learn about it.

2020年11月14日に行きました。金箔作りの知識豊富になりました。バスの一日券フリーパスを提示すると、50円割引になり260円で入館できました。階段やトイレにも、金の猫の足跡があって楽しかったです。

A bit small but still interesting to see how it is made. Not really worth the price but while you are there you might as well go

金箔の作り方を一から説明してもらえます。さまざまな資料や映像や道具の展示で大変わかりやすいです。
ただ、同じ内容の物が多かったかな？
ざっくり見て30分くらいかと？
でも、映像を見ないと意味がないと思います（見たら一時間くらいはかかるかな？）
通常300円がバスの１日パスポートがあれば250円になったりJAFの割引などもありますので入館前にチェックを
金箔職人はすごいですねぇ

入場料大人300円です。展示品は多くはありませんが、製法や歴史、金箔を使用した蒔絵漆器、硝子工芸品等、よく整理されていて見応えはあります。
一通り見て30分、じっくり見て一時間程度の量なので、疲れなくていいかと思います。
ひがし茶屋街があっさりめな観光場所なのでセットで見るといいと思います。
手仕事が好きな方にお薦めします。

It was a small but well organized museum where you can learn about gold amalgams. Souvenirs are cool since they have gold leaf on them. Quite informative and the staff is nice

This is a small museum, but essential to visit if you are interested in Kanazawa's history of gold production. There's also a shop where you buy all sorts of things containing Japanese gold.

Small museum with well curated artifacts and information in both English and Japanese. Staffs were super sweet. Great place to take a bit of a rest and learn some history of Kanazawa the making of gold leaf.
