Navy Commissary Yokosuka

I went to the commissary today and they had really good customer service they asked me how my day was and what do I plan on doing when summer comes I really like there customer service 10/10

This place is over priced when it comes to fresh vegetables and fruits. Although, this place is super convenient! Sushi is sold here and it tastes pretty good for store bought sushi. They do have a bakery that makes custom cakes for celebrations and ready to grab off the shelf cakes and pies. They also have a deli which has pretty good fresh cold cuts.

While this commisary isn't the best I've been to, I acknowledge the situation here is a little unique considering most of their stock is shipped from America and with recent issues like covid it's been difficult to stay in stock. At least they'll keep us updated on when new products arrive. I haven't really had any bad experience other than some of the products I want being out of stock pretty often but they're trying their best.

It's a commissary. Overpriced produce, closer to expired products. I can't remember the last time they had dairy in stock.

The worst commissary I've ever experienced. Small selection. Whole sections regularly out of stock. Long expired items on the shelves. Astronomical produce prices for items that go bad quickly.

Dude walks up to tell me to put my mask even higher when his is lower than mine. If y'all are gonna bother me then least follow your own rules.

米軍に所属する軍人や軍属の方々、そしてその家族のためにあるスーパーです。
NEXは日本人も買えたり買えなかったりしますが、ここは本当に日本人が物を買うことができない場所です。
（米兵と結婚した方は使えます）

店内の商品は米国内の物価や需要のあるものを準じて価格設定されています。そのため、日本国内では安く買える鶏むね肉も、ここでは多少高くなっています。まぁそれでも米国のウォルマートやセーフウェイよりは安くなっています。ただ日本国内の物価が安く高品質なこともあってなのか、基地の外のスーパーのほうが良いという米兵も一定数いるようです。

このスーパーは食料品が中心となっており、日本では売ってない調味料や野菜、お肉などアメリカ製の食べ物を安く買うことが出来ます。消費期限がどうなっているのか分かりませんが、アメリカ産の牛乳もあり、1ガロン（4リットル）入ってるやつもあれば、ハーフガロン（2リットル）のものなど種類も豊富です。

米兵がエスコートしてくれた時や、基地内に国内留学した時なんかに行ってみたいとリクエストしてみればワンチャン行けると思うので、行ってみたい方は是非。

支払い時にMilitary ID Cardsが要求されますので御注意ください。

Waiting line for 40 items or less (self-service) is more than 35 minutes. Everything else is ok

Too crowded. Missing items during these supply delivery times. Employees are great however. Thank you!

Still required to wear a mask even though over 90% of the base is vaccinated. I rarely go because prices has gotten worse

It's always too crowded and it can be difficult to find things that you need/want. The best commissary on the Kanto Plain is in Sagamihara Housing Area.

Very small selection, produce goes bad way too quickly (sometimes it looks almost spoiled still on the shelf). More than once I've come home to realize I've purchased expired goods. Whether something is in stock is always hit or miss - to be fair there have been shipping delays and issues for our whole tour out here so I know it can't always be helped.only bumped up to three stars because the staff is so kind and the manager does his best (they are 5 star worthy).

I mean it's the commissary! At least this one is 7 days a week, mostly stocked and much cheaper than town!

Poor costumer service, the lines are really long, and they don’t have a full staff, they are always waiting for the last minute to open another register, they really need to do better.

Everything you need for food, and some of the prices are incredibly low compared to the states.

It is great when they have what you want. Thr chips are well priced, and the meat looks good for the price.

I haven't seen Blue Bell ice cream since I lived in Texas in 2011. Amazingly stumbled across it here and a world away. Instant 5 stars in my book.

Additionally, the prices are cheaper than the commissary in Hawaii I was using previously. They really do try to keep it affordable.

If I need to get the groceries I need that I can't find at a Japanese grocery store then I come here. Customer service is okay but some areas do need improvement. The baggers also need to improve their customer service skills.

It's a good spot to find US foods and saves you the hastle of trying to translate Japanese labels. But you will ultimately save money if you can learn to shop in the Japanese grocery stores. The sushi is good but not any cheaper than you can get elsewhere.
