Excellent hotel and staff. As a first time tourist I would recommend everyone to experience the magical feelings of Nara from this traditional place. Got to feel it to know the meaningfulness of the moments.

窓から五重塔が眺められ風情がある。お部屋、お風呂とも清潔で気持ちよい。お食事も工夫がなされ 利き酒は楽しめた。接客も丁寧である。ただ 所々バリアフリーでない箇所があり ヒヤリとした。星4にしたのはその点による。

Most, if not all, rooms come with free breakfast. The private reservable bathhouse cost an additional fee.

Great service, and the rooms are big and spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a family of four, or even five. The breakfast is a must-try, with an amazing spread of delectable traditional dishes.

Excellent place, the room are traditional Japanese style, the service is heart-warming, and the food is delicious.

Worth the price. Amazing room with a view of the pagoda. Comfortable futons, I slept really well. Onsens are great - indoor one has waterfall and rooftop one has view of pagoda. Dinner was served to our room and breakfast is in one of the dining halls. Staff is so nice. After checking out, we asked if they would keep our luggage for us so we could walk around Nara more. They happily obliged. Oh, and they gave us 10,000 yen to use in their gift shop!
