I live in the US and I had ordered a knife from them, custom and all to my liking & not to mention the shipping comes at a lighting speed (FedeX). The sales rep is provided outstanding customer service and always in contact regarding the items being requested despite the distance. Reliable business! Will definitely visit when the pandemic is over.

They have two stores back to back, both have really knowledgeable English speaking salespeople. They were really gracious even though I moved between the two stores at least ten times while deciding on a knife. They welcome holding and experiencing each knife for yourself. Knives at all price points, they take Discover card. Read a little on the rules of buying a knife in Japan (it’s mostly don’t unwrap their special packaging before you get home if you are getting a largeish knife)

I spent a decent amount of time in several of the cutlery stores in the area. This one stood out for both quality and friendly, helpful service. Super happy with my purchase. Highly recommend.

Great service and selection of knives crafted by well-known makers. IMO, Tsubaya is one of the go-to knife shops in Kappabashi.

丁寧に接客していただきました。万能包丁が欲しくて探していたので　いくつか出していただき身離れの良い切れ味の良さそうなものを購入。
使い方のせいか分かりませんがお家で野菜やお魚の捌きましたがイマイチでした。もう少し高くてもいいものが欲しかったので足元を見られてお勧めしてくださったのかなぁと。。
もう少しじっくりして決めたらよかった。。
でもとても親切に色々と説明してくださったので次はもっと納得のいくものを購入したい。
返品交換は出来ないのかな

Great range of knives. Had useful and knowledgeable assistance when needed but certainly not overly pushy at all.

Would recommend the morning as it wasn't busy and easy to take your time looking (there are many).

友人の付添で包丁を買いに来ました。
自宅で刺身や手巻パーティーをするために、生魚を切りやすい包丁を探していたところ、包丁の種類や値段による素材の違いをしっかり説明してくれて、利用用途や台所事情から本人に合った包丁をしっかり探してくれました。
海外の友人だったため、手入れに必要な品含めて全て英語で説明してくれました。本人も希望に合った包丁を購入出来て喜んでおり、本当に助かりました。

Their own brand Damascus knives are amazing, I have been buying knives in their for years, highly recommended especially if you don't speak Japanese their staff is fluent in English and very knowledgeable about knives.

Great place to satisfy you kitchen needs! Any kind of knife possible.they speak English and have a great knowledge of knives! They will tell you about different kind of steel (Damascus, carbon, stainless.), different shapes (for cutting vegetables, meat, fish.)
It was great experience and I would recommend this place if you looking to upgrade your cutlery!
Oh also they do free engraving was free!

Very helpful in determining what you need and not overselling. Gave me multiple options at different price points and explained the differences between the knives.
