Fantastic service with English speaking staff. We are making this our vet for the duration of our stay in Japan. All staff are courteous and friendly. Astute caretakers!
I had a pet rabbit who lived until 8 yrs old. He was sickly and after trying three other vets, I could finally find a capable vet in Dr Saito & the specialist. She looked thoroughly after the rabbit and took bacterial samples from his infected foot. Then based on that, prescribed antibiotics especially for him.
Other vets just issued random meds and things to help the rabbits’ digestion which really did not address the infection and/or Illness. I found them to not really know what to do or how to proceed as I was only watching the rabbit’s illness slowly killing him.
Once I went to Ushihama clinic I could see the meds working and elongating his life. Each step of the way, the Dr was clear and communicated what could be done (or couldn’t be done) for my little guy. He had a complicated prognosis and she was clear about what the options were. But based on the rabbit’s condition we decided to go with the less invasive and less stressful path and just let the illness take its course while trying to lessen the pain and suffering for the bunny. It was not an easy path but they supported whatever we decided. When he finally passed, after a long battle with his ailment, the vet sent us a very sweet condolence letter.
We felt appreciation to them and donated our remaining unused rabbit food pellets and grass to the vet which they could use for the other hospitalized animals. Thanks Ushihama staff! I know my babies appreciated your attentive care and professional handling.
20年前に前の猫がお世話になっていました。結構な時間まで開いていたのでとても助かりました。また今回お世話になることになりました。以前の印象がよかったので。駅からは少し離れますが歩けない距離でもなく駐車場も多く便利にしています。
They did great work expediting my animals needs. They were also very attentive to the breed of dog and any sensitive areas he had.
I've been there twice for vaccines and it has been a good experience. They have English translators. A little bit pricey but it's Japan.
Speak excellent English, very thorough explanation of services provided. My pet was well taken care of during her visit and procedure. Would definitely recommend.
牛浜ペットクリニックは、我が家のニヤン子 (名前は、風太くんです。) が13年もの間お世話になっている病院なのです。
生まれて6ヶ月ごろから結石症のために特別調製された食事療法食しか、食べさせる事ができないのです。
お店には、キャットフードが所狭しとならんでいるし、風太くんにも食べさせてあげられたら、いいの にな～～と何度も思ったものです。
でも、いつものごはんを、お腹いっぱいに食べて気持良さそうに、昼寝などしている姿を見ていると、とっても癒やされる気分になれるのです。
院長の対応の悪さがひどい、もう二度と利用しません。
説明は全て何かあっても、自分に非が及ばないように言い逃れする為の
説明しかしません。獣医の経験則からの意見を求めても、飼い主の判断で決めて下さいというような会話しかせず、こんなに信頼の置けないクリニックはそうそうないと思います。ただの商売としか考えていないのか、人を見下すような話し方も人間性を疑うレベル。
I highly recommend Ushihama, especially over the Yokota Base vet. Ushihama are very professional, provide good options, are very affordable, have many fluent or near fluent English speakers, and make a real effort to see your pet with no appointment in an emergency. Which is far more than can be said about the Yokota Base vet.
Extremely friendly and honest staff, very professional. The prices are fair, always trying accommodate customer's needs. Both of our dogs have been treated in the clinic and service is always outstanding.

Went in for a last minute Bordetella shot, they were busy but still able to administer the vaccine quickly and professionally at an extremely good price! Very nice, curious staff. Highly recommend, especially for non Japanese speakers!
They have English translators all the time and always can get me scheduled the day I call. The vets are nice and knowledgeable. They have reasonable rates for office visits, but I can't speak of surgeries or vaccines

This place is nice. I was skeptical due to a friend's experience but I was forced to use them for my Akita puppy. I am very glad I did. The prices were reasonable and the staff was great. They always have an English translator in hand and the care they provided my puppy was great. She had to get operated on and they made sure to give us a great post op care guidance. My puppy is back to 100% running all over. Thank you Ushihama!
