A little pricey (about 1500yen for the lunch set with a free flow of drinks, soup and salad) but it was pretty good!
Relieving your hunger of malaysian food, tasty Nasi Lemak and much more, surely will come again next time visiting Shibuya
Alhamdulillah Terimakasih to the owner who opens this restaurant who cooks Malay cuisine. Love the Nasi Goreng kampung & Chicken curry, our hunger was satisfied by the food cooked by chef from Ipoh
Overpriced beyond imagination. There are other Malaysian restaurants that sell much cheaper and taste much better than this place.
Come on lah Malaysian food is not some kind of luxury dish like those from Europe or the Americas!
Good halal food for those who miss and want to try Malay food. Staff were friendly and portions were just nice or alight more. Recommended for Muslim travellers to stop by and try it
Went to Malay Asian Cuisine as it was promoted in Shibuya 101 things to do. Must be good then.
Was disappointed to discover:
1. Overprice for the type of food (their presentation is like food court Malaysia)
2. So called authentic chicken rice come with no soup and chicken taste just like boiled chicken. The condiments were good that they cover the poor chicken.
3. Chicken curry was too thick and at the same time lack in taste.
4. Service - Food didn’t come at the same time. My husband food arrive first before mine. No tissue paper on the table.
5. Toilet was as wet as typical toilet in Malaysia.
6. Decoration is too dark and dull.
The good part:
1. Mee laksa was good.
Overall won’t go there again and won’t recommend to anyone.
Nasi Lemak and Kangkung Belacan are very similar to what Malaysia offers. They also sell some Malaysia stuff for example 100plus and Chili just in case you can’t find it elsewhere.
Tasty! Friendly. There is special meal for the day you come here. The food is specify, from the Malaysian cuisine. The food is Halal as they said. There is a drink bar, coffee, soup for today, salad, and desert. You can eat more and drink much more as you can for free.
Good service and tasty authentic Malaysian food. Lunch menu is at 1000 Yen with free drinks bar (refill, etc). Recommended!
Run by Malaysians, speak my language, I feel like home here. Brought my Chinese friend to this Malaysian restaurant to taste Malaysian cuisine, the taste is legit and authentic. She loves it so much especially Mee Laksa! Would definitely return!
I was invited to the lovely Malaysian restaurant by my friend from Malaysia. The food was delicious with nice mixture of spices and according to my friend they were a lot of local dishes in Malaysia that is offered at the location. All dishes are Halal. Altogether it was a great experience amount friends the cost was fair in my opinion considering the average prices (800-1500 yen per person) of food in Shibuya. The staff also can speak several languages (Japanese, English, Malaysian and Indonesian) worth a revisit in the near future
This location is on Timeout's 108 things to do in Shibuya. Apparently, it was so because the former PM of Malaysia (Najib) approves of the Nasi Ayam here, so that triggered my curiousity to locate and taste it for myself. It did not disappoint. Not one bit. It's as authentic as they come. The food, the salad? And the sambal chili. Just don't order the Ice Teh Tarik hoping to expect actual Teh Tarik. It's really just Japanese style Milk tea. Stick to the hot one. That's the real deal.
