Excellent way to experience Japan foods and get great background on the history and taste of the city. Our guide (Marie) met us promptly at the arranged time and gave us a great tour for the whole family. Food was delicious and she explained all the sites and food making everything memorable. Would recommend the Osaka evening food tour which we did.

We did the Shinbashi Hidden Gems food tour with Maya in June 2023 and had a fantastic experience. Lots of interesting food and drinks with great overviews of Japanese culture - we really felt enriched by the experience. Highly recommended

The tour was awesome. Motoko was very knowledgeable about the area, food, history, and more. Learning how to order and eat in Japan was a huge benefit. We did this with our kids and they had a great time. The variety of stops and food were great. Lunch was a great experience. We learned so much and we never could have found so many great places on our own. Highly recommend!

We had a great food tour experience in Osaka with Ken! He explained a lot of cool history about Osaka as he showed us the sites and led us to some delicious dining locations we wouldn't have found on our own. Thanks, Ken!

We went on the Matcha Kyoto Green Tea Tour with Sanae. She was a wonderful guide and we learned a lot about green tea and the japanese culture. We had a great and relaxing afternoon not far away from kyoto.

Sandra did an excellent job of combining history and information about the market and surroundings with a focus on the food. She achieved the perfect balance of professionalism and personal connection. I would have liked to know ahead of time, however, that we would be eating both a breakfast at a local restaurant and a “picnic” of items purchased at the market. If it was provided, I missed it. Consequently, I had expected more interaction with fishermen and vendors, rather than the busy tourist-focused area we experienced. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it very much.

This was such an incredible pleasurable experience! My roommate and I were visiting from Hawaii and got the chance to tour with Ike! He was so knowledgeable and fun! We loved trying all of the foods he recommended for us! We hope to come back and enjoy another tour! Mahalo! ️

We went on the Tsukiji Fish Market "breakfast" tour with Tommy and we had an awesome time! Tommy is SO wonderful, he was very knowledgeable, friendly, kind, and patient with the members of our group.

We stopped in for a traditional Japanese breakfast at the fish market first, and it was a really cool experience. Tommy taught us much about the Japanese culture, he is clearly very passionate about his love of Japanese culture, and he was such a pleasure to be with. We then walked through the various stalls, checking out all types of things from knives, different ingredients, prepared foods, and of course, fish! We got to try some delicious fresh oysters on our way through the market, while Tommy picked up some different foods for a second-breakfast picnic.

Tommy then took us around to the shrine near the market, and finished off with delicious Maguroyaki for desert! He was also kind enough to take us to the information center and help us with the tax refund.

We would absolutely take this tour again, and I cannot express how wonderful Tommy was as our guide. Thank you, Tommy!

Osaka food tour was highlight of our 2 week japan trip. I would highly recommend anyone going to Osaka to take the arigato travel food tour. Hopefully you will be lucky enough to get Marie as your guide. Absolutely the best guide! Food was delicious and learned so much about the area from Marie.

We had a tour with Hayato (Harry) Nakabayashi in Tokyo and it was outstanding. Hayato was friendly, knowledgeable, he added in information about the city, showed additional sites from venue to venue and he took us to some wonderful cuisine, tea and dessert locations. He made family outing an evening to remember in Tokyo!

We were lucky enough to have Micky as our guide to the fabulous food Osaka has to offer. As well as taking us to superb restaurants with individual style and delicious food. Micky was genuinely great company. She pointed out so many things we would have missed wandering on our own, and gave us real insight into this fascinating city.

We were excited about the Osaka leg of our travels around Japan - this tour was a perfect introduction to the city.

Yuko was our guide. She spoke excellent English and was Japanese (I really prefer a Japanese guide of course). Her choices and knowledge of the cuisine around Shibuya was impressive and she was kind and pleasant to spend the afternoon with. I can't say enough about how happy my family was with Yuko as our Shibuya food tour guide!

A great afternoon exploring Shibuya with our amazing guide Yuko. A lot of food (Ramen, Sushi, Okonomiyaki, BBQ Beef, and dessert) go on an empty stomach!

Tuko was incredibly flexible with our son who was overwhelmed and tired, but soon started to enjoy the afternoon.

Highly recommended!

We took the Kyoto Sake Tour with Sae. It was our favorite tour in Japan. Sae was so knowledgeable. We learned a lot, not only about Nihonshu (sake) but about the water in Kyoto, Japanese table manners, even about Kyoto history. The food was delicious and the nihonshu smooth. Definitely would recommend to all of my friends and family.

Arigato Japan fun food tour in Tokyo was amazing. Our guide Nami (not sure of the spelling) was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. She even helped my son with a throat spray for his scratchy throat and made sure we were on the right train to get back to the hotel.

My wife and I went on the tsukiji fish market tour with Yappy and he was amazing! Took us around to some of the best stalls and explained the history of the market and was super nice and funny. The market can be very overwhelming so it was great to have someone to guide us. If you are coming to Tokyo and want to go to Tsukiji I highly suggest using Arigato and going with Yappy.

We had a night food tour in Osaka and to say that it was incredible would be an understatement! We started off our night meeting our guide Ike. Ike was an absolute pleasure to be around, personable and so detailed with everything we ate and saw! He took us around to four different spots. Everything was absolutely delicious and as I said prior Ike helped us make the best choices for food! If we ever have the chance, we will definitely be booking with Ike again!
