37Compared to some of the places the Army has put me, this place was OK. I must say though, this place has the biggest cockroaches I've ever seen.
I mean literally the definition of average average rooms average food average service not bad but certainly not excellent
Decent transient lodging. The extended stay room would be very nice if I had been there for a while.
The room has a kitchen, so you don't have to go out and eat. There's also a small living space separate from the bedroom.
Pros: Staff is very professional, the rooms are very clean, and the kitchenettes are well equipped.
Cons: $10 per day over my Temporary Lodging Allowance and not covered for my move. If you are relocating you might pay more out of pocket.
Lodge was OK. Navy lodging always seems to be better than AF lodging, but it was suitable. I was there for 14 days of ROM and it would have been nice to have some kitchen supplies of some kind, but there was nothing. There was a place where an oven used to be, but it had been removed. Did find a cockroach one day, but only once.
Outstanding staff! Goes out of their way to assist people in Restriction of Movement (ROM) feel more comfortable on their stay.
Rooms are large i give you that. However, front desk service wasnt very pleasing (only one specific person). I know its a military installation, but we felt like we were at basic training. I think she raised her voice at us at one point.
I'm just glad there are movies playing on TV. Sports playing. Internet is pretty fast. Call in service takes a very long time, sometimes forgotten. There is a cardio room that can be used. Its pretty good for cardio only.
They have laundry room free of charge. Great deal. Got vending machines all over building. Other than service, id say for relaxation and room size. It's worth staying.
AC didn't work! Cockroaches in the rooms! Some buildings do NOT have an elevator! Rooms are dated and dirty! Bathroom was worse than any outhouse I've ever seen.
Great hotel with a comfortable room and awesome staff. Only downside is not all of the buildings have an elevator.
Very friendly staff. The pillows are awful though, super thin and had my neck hurting bad. Bring your own pillows, everything else is very good.
Great hotel, friendly staff and really nice rooms. Would be a five star among military hotels but on base hotels just don’t have the budget to be a true 5 star location.
I like the Kanto Lodge and the front desk staff are usually pretty helpful. There are times they miss the mark occasionally. My family and I were staying in a 3 bedroom tower TLF for the last few days and wanted to spend our last day in the main Lodge so we could catch the shuttle easy heading to the airport and Sake Send Off before boarding the bus. With 3 kids and an Adult, they put us in a room so small with one bed that didn’t even have enough room for our luggage! We were all on top of each other and miserable. I got no sleep that night. I assume they just didn’t have any additional rooms with more space. Had I known, I would have stayed at the TLF, where we were comfortable, and we would have just taken the shuttle to the Lodge that morning. I booked well I’m advance too. They can do a better job working with families.
The rooms aren’t bad if you end up in the main building. The other building is old and smells musty. The price recently increased from $70 to $105 and it’s definitely not worth it.
Nice big suites available, full size fridge and range. Individual rooms are freezing cold and the temperature can't be adjusted. Maybe it would be fine in the summer or if you bring a full set of long johns
Wonderful courtesy and clean age environment. Laundry machines were free. We caught the airport shuttle at the door.
The Kanto Lodge is a convenient, clean and professionally run hotel for those who have access to Yokota Air Base and their families. The rooms were spacious and provided an affordable home away from home while traveling to Fussa Japan. Family units in the towers are furnished 3 bedroom suites with full kitchen and laundry. The towers are close to the youth center, pool and theater. Those traveling without children can enjoy a room on the main base side in walking distance to the base exchange mall, commissary, gym passenger terminal and USO community center. The price and location make it ideal for any trip to Yokota.
