Hair style chosen was a back and forth dialogue between what I was going for and what they thought worked for my image.

All in all, it was a fantastic experience and I would come again.

It was a great experience here at Hayato although result was not as I wanted. The staff was very friendly. I chose this place because their website mentioned staff speaking fluent english. I highly recommend to confirm about the colour shade and what your expectations are, prior starting the process. I did balayage here and even provided photos of Balayage shade that I wanted. They took a photo of my photo and when I was done, I was surprised to have yellowish balayage when clearly I wanted was the hot chocolate one. Did they got glare in their photo? I am not sure! I have added the photo I shared with them and another one of mine after the process. So I recommend you share the photos directly with them or share expected colour properly. Other than this goof up, the massage was really good! I would say this place is bit overpriced but you can get 500 yen discount if you write a review on SSN. Maybe thats why they are so highly rated.

Staff is very friendly and spoken English, so it was very easy telling them what I wanted and they offered great suggestions too! I have textured, curly hair and they had no trouble working with it. Recommended!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
If you are a blonde or a brunette, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT GO! I never post reviews but since I decided to go to this hair salon due to the good reviews, I felt the need to post for those who are doing the same. I asked for bayage, dirty blonde (beige) but first turned out purple (literally, my hair was streaks of purple), then she redid it and next it turned out worse (super yellow, and blotches of blue). Was not bayage at all. My natural hair color did not blend with the other parts, made it look super blotchy (beyond blotchy) I was there for 9.5 hours.she redid it the 3rd time and it went ash with dark almost black. I’m not even lying.close to black streaks. I needed to leave because I needed to catch my last train. (yes, because I was there for 9.5 hrs.) I have a huge headache from all the chemicals, feel devastated because my hair simply looks horrible. I got a refund (they were going to charge me 39000 yen) but I would not have gone through this horrible experience even if someone was paying me 39000 yen. Not being able to get the color right is one thing but their customer service is not up to par either. Soon as I was seated, they were trying to sell me skincare products and how they were approaching me was just weird (felt uncomfortable) rude, annoying (telling me how lucky I am to meet this special skincare staff that they called “sensei”) and disrespectful (the lady keep telling me how I’m “Kawaii” to make me feel good or something. Customers can tell the difference between genuine vs phony false compliments. I’m 30, grown woman and don’t appreciate when someone keeps telling me kawaii). Along with the hairdresser, the “skincare staff “ just stood there trying to hold a conversation with me.worst experience ever.

Was searching online for a salon with english-speaking stylist in Tokyo and came across Hayato. It was a little difficult to make a booking on their website because some parts of it is in Japanese. I made a booking through their Facebook page, very friendly and responsive. Their stylist is professional and will recommend the suitable style and treatment for your hair. Had a very relaxing hair wash too! My mom and I enjoyed our time at the salon and loved our haircut!
